Check your on-line documentation that came with the printer. It should have installed itself when you dowloaded the drivers and other applications form the CDROM that was included. I am also working though the same issue with the BU-30. I have a Dell with XP, but do not have any Bluetooth options in the Printer set up in the control Panel. I beleive there may be some type of software you can add to XP, but I'm not sure. - Good luck

Make sure the blue tooth adapter is set to "discoverable". Then open your blue tooth app and search for connections. You should be able to find it. After two minutes, if it does not find it, turn printer off, restart ipad. Try again. good luck
Found this on the Newegg website. Hope this helps.
If you want to go Bluetooth wireless (and you should) be aware that you must use the Toshibia Bluetooth "Stack" driver and not the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack driver on Window's PC's. I found this out by going to Canon's website and downloading the "full" online manual. It has a very nice section on setting up Bluetooth. Anyway, no problem as newegg has a very nice "Zoom" brand Bluetooth PC-Card for laptops that uses the Toshiba Drivers. Just pop in the CD that comes with the PC-Card and follow directions. You can go to Toshiba's website and download latest "stack" driver later. It's a little tricky to get the upload to "take" but it will work. Newegg should offer the PC-Card as an optional bundle (with the printer)like they do the Canon printer's Bluetooth adapter. This way you get everything you need and know that they all work together. I wish newegg sold the battery too.
The HP Officejet 7310 has an optional bluetooth wireless adapter.
If you purchased the option, you will need bluetooth connectivity
at your computer end.
Alternatively, you could purchase a third party wireless adapter.
Other than that, you will need to connect your printer to your router/wireless network
then all computers will be able to print wirelessly to it through the router.
Hope this helps.
The printer Canon PIXM MP480 is bluetooth enabled ( which is optional ) but it is not fully functional without a Bluetooth unit BU-30 ( bluetooth dongle )
The printer has Bluetooth enabled adapter which means you will need a bluetooth dongle to make it work with your Macbook. You will have to connect the Canon Bluetooth unit BU-30 to the printer and enable to bluetooth function on the printer to be detected by your macbook.
You will be able to purchase the Canon Bluetooth unit BU-30 at any nearest stores ( bestbuy, walmart, costco etc ) for a price of $30 to $50 Approx. depending on the offers you will avail from different merchants/stores.
Am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your printer is not a wireless printer by default. If you would like to be able to print wirelessly and have a bluetooth connection on your laptop/desktop, you have the option of buying an adapter.
The HP bt300 wireless printer adapter uses Bluetooth wireless technology allowing you to print without using a cable. In general, Bluetooth wireless technology is a short range wireless technology that allows connection between devices without requiring a cable. By using your HP bt300, printing is possible from a camera phone, PDA, digital camera, or computer (currently to a computer using the Windows operating system only) to selected HP printers.
Unfortunately, this adapter runs about 145-153$ not including shipping or handling. Am probably giving myself a two star rating by saying this, but your best bet might be to just purchase a wireless printer. I have a wireless 3-in-1 (scan/fax/print) that I bought for about 120$ and it works like a dream. Check out your local Office Depot or Best Buy and take a look.
