Vdr-d100 when I called Panasonic, he stated that this model cannot be setup on the pc. It also states this in the manual, vdr-d200 will connect with pc and comes with software.
I can plug in usb cable on vdr-d100 and view video on quick play. Some dvd's don't work well with model. I have had problems with doublesided fuji dvd-r. So I only use single sided. Panasonic .com has updates and drivers for this model and has the manual you can download.
With windows xp I used DVDSanta and was able to create a large dvd but have not found a solution for vista.

SOURCE: Mini disc playback

Your computer probably wont read the disc, you may need to upload it. If you don't know how to do that I'd be happy to explain. Hope that helps.

Hi,
Need to provide power from ac charger of camera so disc finalize option will appear to finalize disc.
Powering camcorder with battery wont give you Finalize option so use ac charger to get Finalize menu.

Panaconic VDR D100

im sure that your mini dvd will be readable with your dvd rom. if its not then try to use your mini dvd with your camcorder and use usb wire to connect it to your pc. install the cd driver came with your camcorder. use ulead movie maker to detect the camcorder and edit it to that. save it with any various types of videos that you like burn it with nero burner as a dvd disc.now you can watch it to your dvd player. hope that helps!

Cannot finalize

Just to clarify - when you say try to finalize the disc on the DVD recorder, do you mean the DVD camcorder i.e. the VDR D100? if not and you mean an actual DVD recorder then this is where your problem lies, as the disc can only be finalized in the VDR D100 unit itself. this could be the reason behind the poor quality when you watch the clip using windows media player.

If i've got the above wrong, and you were talking about finalization problems on the unit itself all along then the following might help: how full is the disc you are finalizing? if it is pretty full then delete one or two unwanted clips and try finalizing again (this worked for me when i had this problem).
if the disc is not really full then it gets trickier. let me know if it works

How to copy movies from Camera to Computer !??

You must finalise the disk before you can play the movies on your PC or any other DVD player. Your instruction manual will tell you how to do this.

Get back to me if you want to know more.

Why won't my pc read the mini disc thing in my Panasonic VDR-D150EF-S?

Yes you need to finalise the discs before you can use them in another player, even a computer.
Behind your battery there is normally a plug hole for your power adaptor to connect to so you can transfer movies etc on power rather then on battery.
