The crawfish smell is algae buildup in the drain. the unit needs to be cleaned at the evaporator and the drain needs to be checked.

When several burners are lit i smell fumes that after a few minutes actually begins burn my eyes. What should i do?

Switch it off and call a gas technician. That may be Carbon Monoxide also known as 'The Silent Kille**r'. It could also be an indication of not enough air being burnt with the gas.

Rinnai ex 38 flashing code 99. I took the vent apart and there is no blockage. Unit has only been installed one month.

If it is only one month old doesn't do anything but call for warranty serving. ANY attempt to repair this will void the warranty.

Why does my home A/C unit result in a constant stream of water coming out of the overflow drain? I've had the same unit for 5 years, and it seems that it drains water in ever-increasing amounts. Als

Sounds like it is freezing up. Kind of hard to say since you did not say whether it is a central heat and air system. My overflow was constantly draining onto my patio from overflow. I crawled up in the attic and followed the pvc pipe where it came in from the outside and closer to the central unit in the attic I drilled a hole in the 90 degree elbow of the pvc and unclogged the pipe which was frozen from running so long. Then I covered the hole with silicone. no more leak coming from overflow

How do I fix my electric heater

  • sounds like the sensor or bulb that tells it to start the blower is defective/ im not familiar with your unit but this seems the most logical answer most furnace will not turn the blower on right away usually 90 seconds after the ignition but will also run longer to exhume any dangerous carbon monoxide. Electricic heaters are different. What type of unit do you have

Why can't I lower my honeywell 8500 below 67 on cool?

With a two story house you have to be aware that cold air flows downwards so any cold air coming from an ac unit will flow downstairs( normally down the stairway) so unless you can close off the down stairs then the up stairs unit will be cooling downstairs as well. Ac units have a thermostat located in the air intake and it cools until the cold air has risen to that point. In effect the space above the ac unit will be hotter than the floor. Knowing how they work ,you can see that the upstairs unit will never reach the set temperature because the cold air is continually heating from the house and will never get to the top thermostat.
So your solutions are
1-- fit controls that restrict the cold air from leaving the upper floor (Doors)
2--don't run the upper ac unit unless you are living up there (waste of money
)3 place an ac in each upper room and keep the room door closed
