So I got the Verizon aircard and thought I could use it with my new Rangemax Router...but the aircard is USB! Now what?

You will need to go buy a Netgear USB adapter rangemax for your mac.

Howdy.We are not connected in any way with Netgear, but I hear your frustration. Since you have only one ethernet plug,I wonder if you might try using the new netgear rangemax instead of the other netgear router rathern than with it. They suggest you use these with the rangemax:
"We recommend using this product with the RangeMax Next Wireless-N Adapters (WN511B, WN311B, WN121T"

I have the WPN824v3 and it can be balky finding and connecting to a network sometimes. It works best (and gets the best range) using the Netgear RangeMax Wireless USB 2.0 adapter (WPN111). The router and this adapter are (according to Netgear) specifically designed to work with each other, thereby maximizing both the range and the speed of the router.

I went to Best Buy and asked the support staff.THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL.I ended up buying a NetGear router on sale for $40.00 as the Verizon router does not have a ethernet outlet to the computer so it is not able to be used.

Hi, Well, this router will not work with usb modem. For 3g usb modem purchase MBR624GU. Make sure to check if ur usb modem is listed in the compatibility list. Hope this helps.

you may end up having to buy a new router. Before that, see if you can try other electrical outlets or if possible, another power adapter

Order the Westell 7500 from Verizon. May not be the best, but your love will be easier because it eliminates a device by providing a single gateway / combo modem router.
Speed issues are ambiguos. Call Verizon and have them take you through some slow speed troublshooting.

You can still use your Netgear Rangemax Wireless Router if ever you avail there service, there's no problem with it of coarse they will say that it wont work so you can get all the networking device from them that's a plain marketing strategy , I can tell you any wireless router will be working for their service.....

This problem is mainly cause by the router firmware, so I advuice you to contact Netgear and ask them to update the firmware of your router to resolve this problem that you have....
