Perhaps you should read page 164 of the (English) manual.
When you use a "slow" memory card, on the right side of the screen a 5 bar indicator may appear, indication the buffer is running out of space. When the bar is "full" the recording will be stopped.
The slower the card the sooner the bar appears and the sooner the bar is full.
When you are using a fast card (C10 or U1) it takes longer, for the bar to appear. Or perhaps the bar won't come on at all.
Turn the selection knob on the top of your camera to an icon that sorta looks like a video camera on a tripod, then push the record button to record.Video mode autonatically records sound. You might want to add auxilliary kighting if shooting indoors.
This could be your memory card going bad. Recommend trying a "low level" format of the card to see if that jump starts it. First download all images and videos as the format will erase them from the card. Next press the menu button and select the settings (tools) menu. Go down to the format option, and press the "Func Set" button. Make sure "Low Level" format option is checked before selecting OK. After you format the card, try the video to see if the problem is fixed. If the above didn't help, recommend trying a different card.
if you read your manual it says that movies recorded with high recording pixels and frame rates may experience problems such as yours and also running the movie on computers with insufficient system resources
i don't know if this applies to you though, seeing that i don't know your computer Specs.
Parjeet: have you checked your camera settings and memory card and that it doesn't have the lock switch on the card so that its protected from images/videos from being taken off.
