Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

Will not see saved games

When I was trying to register for Xbox Live, there was a problem and errored me out. I tried to register again and it said I had already registered. So I recovered my gamertag. When doing this it erased my gamerscore and will not allow me to access my saved games. It sees my gamertag as the owner of the saved games but when I load a game it acts like I have never played it again. I have tried 1-800-4MYXBOX and they were no help. Corpo was no help. So I was looking to see if anyone on here had an idea on how to make my xbox 360 see my saved games. I can delete my gamertag and it says the owner for the saved games is "unknown profile" when I recover my gamertag again it puts my gamertag in the owner section for all the games.

Thanks in adavance.

I too have a list of game saves that all say "unknown profile" I deleted the old profile and folloed the steps to keep the saved data only to discover you can not move or access the game saves. This is a festure that xbox has inorder to prevent cheating etc. I don't care about acheivement points I just was my game saves. What a joke why give the option to keep you game saves if you cannot access them after the profile has been deleted?

Whenever i try to load a saved game from any game my xbox 360 freezes and when i try to load a saved game from fallout new vegas it told me something weird. it told me that i have downloadable content...

Sounds like your hard drive or memory chip that has a corrupt file that has affected it. Normally problems like this are only isolated to a specific game's save game files. If you have never had your console connected to xbox live then none of their updates or game patches would be present on your system; however other newer games you may have played, you might have noticed a you will need to update your system before you can play this game message on your screen. There are only 3 steps I can suggest the first is to reformat your system this will erase/revert everything to its default settings as if you're playing the console again for the first time. The 2nd would be to clear the concole cache and erase all updates. You do this method by going into system/memory/press y button/then press xx, left bumper, right bumper, xx if you do this correctly it will ask if you want to perform maintenance select yes. The 3rd option I have will erase any faulty updates which may have not completed etc. that may be causing an error, you do this by holding the synchronize button (just to left of power) then turn the power on, continue to hold the sync button until it loads completely then release. You will not receive any message or indication but any failed updates will now be removed from your system. Hope this helps, I would try these steps from 3 to 1 if I were you to, so hopefully you don't have to wipe all your saved games

My xbox 360 died and i bought a 2nd hand one. I purchased many arcade games from xbox live and they are saved on the memory pack. i have transfered this over and no it keeps telling me to unlock the games!...

You don't have to purchase them again. You need to register your new console with Microsoft and let them transfer the licenses onto your new system. This can be done on Microsoft's Xbox Website.

Haven't seen this one. it seems your download might have gotten corrupted. If you do online gaming, which i can see you do when you said you "downloaded", then all your achievements should be saved on the microsoft web site(xbox live). About the only way you can try to fix this is to re-format your drive again...sorry. you have to go and retrieve your gamertag again, and download the maps again.

Connect

Hi,

Clear your cache and then try it again...!

Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.

Note: Game saves, user profiles, demos, videos, music will not deleted during the process - But all game/console updates and error logs will be deleted.

Cheers

Save device error

What save device are you using? memory card or hard drive?

It sounds like whatever you're using has started to malfunction. Are you able to pull up other save games?

Note that saved games are associated to a unique profile on the device, even if you're not on Xbox Live. That is, if you were logged in as profile "tools" when you saved the game you have to be logged into the same profile to load the game.

Marketplace Problem

A lot of people have had this problem after the most recent spring update. If in the error message it said "can't retrieve media rights try again later" All you have to do is delete your original media rights. If not, you may have to call Microsoft for a solution.
