This is most likely not a problem with the monitor but rather a problem with the computer. do you hear the fans running in the computer? If so then the Power Supply seems to be working which would leave the most likely things are CPU or motherboard and the only way to determine which one it is would be to try the CPU on a different motherboard or try a different CPU in that motherboard.

If the fans do not run then the problem is most likely the Power Supply. The biggest problem here is that although what I have outlined is the most likely problems there are other things that could cause this and whether the fans are running or not it could still be the CPU motherboard or Power Supply. If you can I would check the voltages from the Power Supply or at least get a power supply tester to see what that shows and work from there.

Problem with Interface board or panel.
Also maybe due to defective powersupply filters.

SOURCE: lg monitor studioworks e 700, ligh is blinking

Seems that its not detecting the output of your PC. First, you need to make sure that the PC is turned on. Can check also that the VGA cable fits tightly on the video card socket. This cable is the one connected to your Monitor and then straight at the back of your PC.

If it still does not work after this, try to check and test other monitors. Connect it to your pc. Note the current resolution. If its on a high rate, try to set to it at minimum only.If it works with other monitors, then it's a problem with the LG. If you still see the blinking lights even after replacing the monitor, check if its an issue with the Video card already.

LG E1940S Monitor displays with a pink hue. I am using with a T40 ThinkPad and XP

A pink hue is a sign the CCFL lamp is about to fail.
The CCFL lamp is a fluro like tube approx. 2mm in diameter that is located on the bottom edge of the LCD screen that supplies the back light to the screen.
Replacement CCFL lamp is available from this WEB site.

Screen is now a weird color

The problem might be in the cable. Try to reconnect it to your machine. Also try to set your color settings on the monitor itself, so that all the colors are equal.

Monitor gets a blue hue

Hey Tricky Cat!

My first advice would have been the cable...since that did not resolve it it can only be 1 of two other things...the video card (might be intregrated on your motherboard)...or the monitor.

To test plug in another monitor if you have one. If the problem resolves it is the monitor...if not then the video card.

You will have to way your expenses to fix...usually a monitor is cheaper to well as a video card. If it is integrated the cheapest route is to buy a new video card and turn off the old one in the BIOS.

Good luck my friend.
