I've just had a similar problem, I poured in CLR and after another normal wash, it seems to improve ......less water at the, maybe I should pour more CLR and hope it will dissolve the debris at the bottom of the drain?

SOURCE: garbage disposal (water won't drain out of sink standing water)

There should be an overload button somewhere on the bottom of the disposal motor. This is to prevent the motor from trying to run if the chopping blades are jammed, otherwise the motor would burn up.

First, try to move the blades with something like a broom handle. Using a flashlight you should be able to see the blades. there's probably three of them. try to make sure each one can move even a little bit.

Next, with the disposal switch in the off position, find the overload button and push it in, Then turn on the disposal switch and see if it runs. If the overload button trips off again, repeat the above steps until the blades can turn.

Let me know how this goes. Loringh

So frustrated - LG dishwasher washes 5 minutes then shows OE code - have cleaned drains, sump pump, out let pipes. Still doing it. ONly 9 months old..... My old dishwasher worked for 10 years.......

Hi there Diane OE on your display relates to the water draining system (water is not pumped away). the diashwasher is not seeing the water drain away. Dishwashers start by draining before they take on fresh water. Start your dishwasher and listen for a pumping noise from the waste pump if you dont hear any noise it may be the pump is blocked or faulty. please advise if this helps kind regards gary.

Water wont drain

Hi there....water not draining out is usually related to (a) a blocked drain pump...(b) blocked outlet hose.....(c) blocked drain outlet (under sink)...the tarmac smell is comming from the heat insulation at the rear of the dishwasher need to check that dishwasher is not overheating....

Dish Washer retains the water without draining....

the drain pump is fairly easy to replace. it locks into place beside the sump and motor. push tab in and rotate pump to pull out. you will lose water so have a towel handy. inspect drain hose for restrictions or kinks.

Dishwasher states there is a water leak when visually there isn't

Assuming that you have checked under the dishwasher for a leak (through a faulty sump gasket):
Since there is not actual leak, check the following:
-Confirm that the height of Drain Hose connection (sink-Drain Hose) rises greater than 20′ _minimum_ as it travels to the drain connection.
-If that does not solve the problen, it is probably a worn/broken Impeller of the Washing Pump.
Unless you are mechanicly incliend, a service call is probably the way to do. If you need further steps, please reply. Otherwise, after you ahve used the advise, please accept this solution.

Water Stayed in dishwasher

Check your drain hose,it might be blocked with debris.Does your drain hose attached to your Disposal, you could also fill your disposal with warm water and flush it as well.
Post another comment if does not work, I shall suggest other things to check.
