Ur convergence is dead.Problems:Are 3D colors,colors misaligns,and colors out of focus.Know how to solders?Must change 2 convergence ICS,and some or all the resistors.Tries Websites Tv repair World.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a convergence kit to repair it ur self.The shop will cost u $300 for parts and labors.

53 inch projection tv...seems like the color red and color blue have shifted giving me a picture with red and blue shadows
For CRT projection TV's, this indicates that the Green picture tube is burned (warn out). The less green that strikes the screen, the more redish the image will look. You will need to find an old school TV repair shop that knows how to replace picture tubes.
In the case of a DLP style TV, the color wheel needs replacing.

TV coloring messed up
my sony did that but would turn off and not leave on. its not recommended to use like that (from tv repair man). theres a chip inside the tv that blew. it cost me 260 bucks to get someone to come and fix it.

tv won't stay on When I turn the tv off, it shuts off right away-it doesn't even have time to have a picture. The code displays a 2-2, a short protect circuit. I've replaced the convergence chips about 8 months ago but noticed there was a yellow horizontal line going across the tv the night before it quit working. I have 2 new convergence chips and about 4 new resistors(although they don't look burned ). Where should I begin looking/testing?
