Hi. Error means your printer failed to communicate with the printhead. If issue is not resolved by turning the printer off/on then you need to buy a new printhead. Here's a link on how to install a new printhead.

the red blinking light indicates that your printer wont recognize your ink carthridge. you can try to reseat the carthridge and the printhead. to remove the printhead just press on the release tab which is located on the upper left corner of the printhead wall. If this will not correct the issue, you need to call their technical support hotline. maybe the carthridge is faulty or there is a problem on the printhead. their hotline no is 1 800 421 6699
You just need to push the button on top of the printhead and it will disengage from the carriage...(Make sure that when you open the printer access door, the printhead should move to the middle of the printer. If not, call Kodak technical support for that... 1-800-421-6699
