You need to supply some more information, are you trying to connect wired or wirelessly? For either first see if your network adapters are installed. Right click on "my computer" either on desktop or start menu. Then choose properties then hardware then device manager this is slightly different depending on your operating system but you need to get into the "device manager" Google it if you cant find it. i.e "how to get into the device manager in windows vista" Once in look for the "network adapters" tab drop down the + sign and see if they are both listed and there are no "!" going thru them, if there are then you need to download drivers, if not and they are installed properly then to connect "wireless" you should see a series of bars by the clock on the right side of the taskbar some computers have a switch to turn the adapter on or off some have a key combination such as fn+f2 or f5 etc., there will be a wireless icon on the key to identify it. If on then when you left click on the bars you can choose veiw available networks, choose yours and highlight it and choose connect, if it is a secure network you will need your network key or passphrase. Wired: just plug it in to the ethernet port and it will try and connect to the network. If you are getting a limited or no connectivity icon you must reset your modem and router in this order. Disconnect (power) to your modem and router if cable unscrew coax cable also. all lights out screw cable back in, then power on your modem..WAIT for all lights to come on solid (with dsl the dsl light should be on and solid not blinking) once your modem is up then plug in your router wait for all lights to come on. Thsi should put your computer online. If not, open internet explorer then go to tools / internet options / lan settings make sure that proxy server is NOT checked. If it is uncheck it and choose "automatically detect settings" above it. Most likely if it was checked you have some rogue phony antispyware on there and your computer needs to be scanned for issues. one last thing you can always right click on the intenet icon by the clock and choose "repair" wired or wireless it will reset the adapter and correct the problem. I think I covered everything not knowing your OS
