Dishwasher won't turn on - HELP

My dishwasher was running the other day and just stopped in the middle of the wash cycle. It won't turn on, and the panel displays no lights at all. I have sucked all the water out of the tub to verify that there is nothing obviously blocking the drain. I have flipped the circuit breaker to verify that it was messed up - the light that runs on the same circuit breaker runs fine. I have checked the electrical connection to make sure the caps are still on tightly. The door shuts and latches just like normal - this dishwasher is not even 2 years old. Anyone know what could be wrong????? Daniel

Re: Dishwasher won't turn on - HELP

Daniel, you have a thermal electronic fuse that sits on the side of the control board. More than likley this fuse has blown. You will have to remove the screws on the inside door and seperate the panel. The control will have a cover that will unsnap. On the control board you will see the fuse toward the right mounted to the top side. Part number for the fuse is 8269213. Why don't you look up the part on the net so you can identify what your looking for. Make sure to cut power to the dishwasher before going in back.

SOURCE: Dishwasher won't turn on - HELP

The dishwasher should have a thermal fuse mounted to the control board behind the operator console. It is a small silver colored device attached to a white plactic bracket. In some model dishwashers the wrong gage wiring was used causing the wires to heat up and trip the thermal fuse. There was no apparent risk of fire or anything like thta, but the thermal fuses didn't tolerate the heat differential too well. A fix for the problem was to purchase a thermal fuse replacment kit (found at most appliance repair stores) that had thicker wires. If you post back with your model number (located inside the door opening somewhere) I can do some reasearch to be sure. And...I'll see if I can locate a part number for you. Let me know.

My top dishwasher drawer won't finish through the cycle. It runs fine on rinse only but not any of the wash cycles. It stops mid cycles, beeps like it has been paused, then tries to start again

Try to feel the temperature of water inside the dishwasher. If it is normal room temperature for the hot wash cycles then it is likely the heater is faulty.
It is not easy to replace unless you have good experience with repairing dishwashers.

My dishwasher will not drain

could be a blocked drain or faulty drain pump or faulty controller.

Do you have a model no.
Also confirm if the wash cycle did start correctly and it ran through it according to the time. Does the dishwasher stop in the middle of the cycle or it completes the cycle with lights turning off but water still inside.
Did the drain pump actually run?

crack in water inlet valve or a pin hole in the hose going from the valve to side of tub spraying water where you see it. You have a holein someting. You need to trace it back to its sourse. When you say "water is running"im guessing thats when its filling with water not just washing.

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.
