Is it one word only? Two words are possible Drought map (there is no p) Draught MOU ( also draft in US) and MOU stands for memorandum of understanding (letter of intent). Not knowing the context I can't find other words.
This particular job can be completed by "you" at a very low cost. It does not take more than $10-$20 dollars U.S. You will need to check with a local art store, or a local paint store and pick-up a very slim paint brush along with a stencil kit and a small can of white heavy duty paint. Hope that this is a start for you and helps to alleviate the "missing" letters.
I've never encountered that problem, but the manual says: Make sure remote Transcribe indicator is extinguished. Move the Transcribe switch to Local position. Locate letter to erase with either [Prev. Ltr] or [Next Ltr]. Simultaneously press [Currnet Ltr] and [Erase] buttons to erase letter appearing in Item Status display. A tone plays and Erase LED lights briefly. Letter is automatically deleted.
To erase all Transcribed Letters: Make sure "In Use" Transcribe indicator is extinguished. Move Transcribe switch to Local position. Simultaneously press the [Finished Ltrs] and [Erase] buttons. Tone plays and Erase LED lights briefly. Good luck!
Do you know how to determine the total minutes on the machine? I have 2 that I want to sell, one of which is on eBay. Thanks.

Good luck on fixing your Electrodex. I have three of them and all have problems mostly due to keys that no longer respond. I was able to open mine up fairly easily by removing the single screw on the bottom. Judging by the date on your letter, you have probably resolved your problems one way or another by this time. I found that the button contacts basically disintegrated and were beyond repair. If you have a solution and a fix, would appreciate hearing from you.
