Question about Briggs and Stratton 020275 Elite Series 3400 PSI Portable Gas Pressure Washer

Briggs and Stratton 020275 Elite Series Pressure Washer

Bought the pressure washer last christmas, put it together started it up it ran for a few seconds and shut-off. The engine runs find cold, but once it heats up it shuts down hard, almost like it locks up. Let it cool down and it starts up and shuts back down. I thought the water pump was choking the engine down, so I took the pump off and still have same problem. Heats up and shuts down. (30 seconds Tops) Won't start back up until you let it cool down. Do you think it could have a bad ignition coil?

We have a 6.25 /Briggs & Straton we have cleaned

You should have two fuel lines going from the carb to the tank, one has a filter,

make sure both lines are good without any breaks or cracks. if the filter is dirty

you may need to replace it. you can fish it out of the gas tank by making a hook

on a wired coat hanger, try to remove the filter and put the line back in the tank

make sure they are both submerged, if it runs just replace the filter, good luck!

How do I winterize a Briggs and Stratton pressure washer

Change engine oil, add fresh stabilized fuel, start and run to circulate new fuel. Use a section of hose and pump som RV antifreeze (the pink stuff) through your pump and hose if you are leaving your hose and wand hooked up.

Hope this helped

Just bought a new Briggs Stratton 6 75 pressure washer. i put in a half a tank of gas in the tank and it started up. i ran the pressure washer until it was out of gas. put more gas in now it will not...

assuming you tried choking it when you tried to start it, verifiy its getting gas,if not tap lightly on the bowl of carburator. if it is getting gas, check for spark
