Re: Video goes in and out
It "Could be" The Avideo Card, but there is a more likely cause, it might be over heating. which means that a fan has gone out of the system. *just a forwarning, Dont try to replace the fan unless you absolutely know what your doing. Its not like a standard computer and requries expertise in replacing parts* I own a Playstation 2 original, large case. I had the same problem and went to a friend who had tools to add a new fan system. Its not easy, it took over 2 hours. Next time you start your system, wait 10 minutes into game play, pause and then feel around the entire casing. If there is a definate showing of heat, shut it down then call either Microsoft about the problem or look online for a local computer repair store and start calling around for quotes on replacing the fan system.

Well here's the problem the towel trick. Ok the problem with the 360s for the most part is small cracks in the solder which causes a bunch of problem from rrod to this. The towel trick heats up the 360 enough to get the solder flowing again thus providing for a temporary fix. The problem is the solder goes places is shouldn't, thus towel trick ends up messing the 360 up more then it helps. My advice send it in, hopefully you still have the warrenty.
Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing
device also has some more common problems like Audio , video
problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty
only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to
get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to
Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your
favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem
buy a fan for your xbox 360, if it continues contact microsoft and see if they have a solution, it could be an internal problem that needs repairing, i have the same problem but i am going to get a fan which will cool the 360, and reduce the chance of my 360 breaking
Something to try is just leave the xbox on for an hour, turn off let cool for 5 min. If that doesn't work, it's a difficult solution to recommend but the towel trick' does work, let it over heat the 360 for about 20
min, then let it cool for 20 more min, and it now works fine, I have a
inner cooler now to keep from overheating again.
This Just happened to me. There seems to be a lot of solder issues with the 360. I bit the bullet and tried the towel trick, where you over heat the 360 for about 20 min. I Let it cool for 20 more min, and it now works fine, I have a inner cooler now to keep from overheating again.
