Question about iRiver iFP-799 MP3 Player
My mp3 player doesnt work at all, despite new battery...nada.. i would like to know how to fix it or where i can take it for repair....
After more than 4 years of everyday use, mine stopped as well. The problem was that the [Play] button/switch soldering dislodged from the PCB. I opened the player and resoldered the [start/play/stop/off] switch back on the PCB. It now works again. I noticed the problem because I could still get the player to operate by using more force and put some side pressure on the switch, which apparently pushed the switch and the PCB together to make contact again.
With a problem like you have there can be many different causes, so this might not be your solution.
