Electratech heating system code needed - Cell Phones

My Mum died and I have her house up for sale, it was working fine but I pressed the code button to alter heating settings and now it won't let me do anything with out entering a code which I haven't got. There must be a way of bypassing the code, why would you need a code anyway! Shelley

I know it is a litt;e late to help you but if anyone else has this problem press code then mode 3 times. Then press code once, the display should ask you to confirm this . Press code again as requested. Code should then be removed.

My program is set for heat from 6:00am to 10 pm.. Furnace not running even tho set for 70, actual says 65. small message on screen next to temp "following schedule in recovery". How do I get heat?

You will need to do additional trouble-shooting. This could be a faulty thermostat, a broken wire at the thermostat or a problem with the furnace. At the thermostat, check that the wires are fully seated at the terminals. Make sure that the conductors haven't broken. (I've seen the wires break after they weakened.) You can try placing a jumper between the terminals for heat and ground. (For a single-phase forced air system, the Rh wire calls for heat.) If your system has a C (common) wire, make sure that the voltage is getting back to the furnace. You can try a different thermostat.

Also look at the furnace. Some systems will have an LED indicating a problem with the unit. Gas systems can have a problem with the flame. Gas or electric forced air systems could have an issue with a blower. Heat pumps can freeze up if the temperature is below their operating range.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the manufacturer and type of furnace (oil, gas, steam boiler) that you have if you need more ideas for trouble-shooting.

Cindy Wells
(my own gas furnace went out on Wednesday and was temporarily fixed by resetting the thermostat and using a jumper across the appropriate terminals. The flame didn't come on at 6 A.M. when the thermostat called for heat. Today, the blower completely failed and needs to be replaced. The earlier failure is likely to be related to this failing blower motor. When I followed the manual's instructions for testing the system, I got a "needs service" code. However, the unit didn't display a trouble-code before I did that test.)

Need to know how a mobile home split system is wired with just ac and 15 kW heat stripesqqq

you have to have 240 volts for power. 24 volts to operate cool and heat. thermostat feeds color code white to heat yellow to cool green to fan. think of the thermostat as a light switch. transformer in system feeds common to different controls & usually red to thermostat which is then switched to what it is set for.

P0421 code

"FWIW, according to the Mazda factory service manual, the P0421 code indicates "Warm up catalyst system efficiency below threshold".

The DETECTION CONDITION for this code indicates "Number of heated oxygen sensor (rear) inversion becomes closer to that of heated oxygen sensor (front)".

POSSIBLE CAUSES are:

Warm up three way catalytic converter deterioration
Leakage exhaust system
Heated oxygen sensor (front) malfunction
Heated oxygen sensor (rear) malfunction
Mass air flow sensor malfunction
Throttle position sensor malfunction
Vehicle speed sensor malfunction"
I copied the above from a discussion group on the PO421 code. The code can be caused by any of the above listed problems. The vehicle should be further inspected and diagnosed, so you do not have components replaced that do not need to be replaced.

My dryer works fine for about 7 mins then it stop and says f03

this is what it means :
    F03
  1. This code indicates a problem with the dryer's heating system. The code will appear when the heating circuits are broken or when there is an intermittent break in the power source for the dryer. If the heating circuits are working and the power source is steady, you may need to replace the central control board.

The heat/air Temp reading is blinking.....when this happens we loose heat. If the car is restarted the problem is corrected for about 20 sec, then the temp blils again, and the heat is lost.

There is a problem with your Automatic Climate Control System. You need to check the system for fault codes and diagnose the system for the code or codes that you get.
The information that I have says that the codes in this system can only be retrieved by GM's Tech 1 Scan Tool. (Nice little feature that GM added to force people to take their cars to the dealer for repair)

This is a classic case of why I personally support the Right To Repair Coalition.

My Central heating system as no vent

You are talking about a gas fired system I assume. So no, it's not a big deal. Code now states that you need to vent the gas furnace from the attic or a crawl space and not from the living space. They change this code back and forth all the time. It's nothing to worry about if you do not plan to sell the home.

Honeywell VisionPro USER SETUP CODES OR INSTALLER CODE FOR TEMP RESTRICTION

You need to get into the installer setup. Download the installer manual from Honeywell or an on-line vendor and it has the installer codes to alter the maximum heat setting. Press the system button and then buttons 2 & 4 at the same time for 5 sec to enter the installer mode. I believe the code is 0600 and then you enter the max temp for heat setting. Press done and your done!. Try this link for the installers manual http://www.alpinehomeair.com/related/Honeywell_VisionPro_8000_%20Install_%20Instructions.pdf
