Question about Dell Wireless Keyboard Optical Mouse w0147
My girlfriends Dell wireless optical mouse has been working fine for over a year. Now it has developed a problem I can't seem to solve. The mouse's LED will not turn on when you move the mouse. I can press the green code change key on the bottom of the mouse and it works for about 20 seconds until the LED goes out. It won't come on when you move the mouse. Batteries have been replaced several times. I have tried several different surfaces as well but the LED will just not come on! There are no other sources of RFI nearby. Anybody have any ideas?
Did you replace the batteries? This sounds like it may be the problem. A year is a lomg time for batteries depending on how often you use the computer.
After changing the batteries, you may have to do this:
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
