The best way for you to do this is to find out the phone number for customer support on the company's website and call them. KEEP THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER NO MATTER WHAT. That means that the company either ripped you off, are having problems with servers, or the money hasnt been transferred yet. If you can't find the number to call them post the name of the virus software and the company on here and ill find it for you

Contact support for the game you are playing. There is normally a link on the page for contact us. There are so many games on facebook it will be impossible for any of use to tell you exactly what to do with out knowing what game, and even then the only thing we will be able to do is provide you with a link to the appropiate support for that game.

I payed 19.99 on my credit card to this software and now it will not let me do anything i also have my activation code they gave me

That's probably because is a virus disguised as a program, what I recommend you is to call to your credit card company and report the charge as fraud, don't tell that you agree to pay but then you discovered is a virus because they will keep the charge posted... -..- and something else is 2 run a virus scan with your antivirus, hopes this help! Best regards Luis!

A message is on my desktop that i am victim of software counterfeiting.

This sounds like a virus that's probably trying to scare you into buying bogus software and then stealing your credit card information. Do not buy anything that the warning message wants you to buy. Instead go here and click Download Now. Download the free version of Malwarebytes since it has everything you'll need to get rid of this virus.

After you have downloaded and installed Malwarebytes, open the program and go to the Update tab. Click on Check For Updates. There may be some updates to download, if so just go through the wizard and download and install the new updates. When you are finished installing updates, open the program and on the scanner page, click on Perform Full Scan and then click the scan button.

This scan will take a few hours so leave your computer running and when it is finished, remove any malware it found and restart your computer. Now the virus should be gone and you won't be getting anymore warnings.

Thank you for using FixYa!

My computer somehow got a few differant virus's......i went to my antivirus software which was avast and tried to rid of them..........then my computer logged off and shut off.....now its asking me for a...

First uninstall avast and go to avg and download there home free version, i have a computer repair shop and i dont let a computer leave without putting it on the unit. avg also offers a bootable cd download that can remove the virus. if you can get access to another computer down load it and burn to cd. http://majorgeeks.com/AVG_Rescue_CD_d6434.html
you will need to change the boot order to boot to cd first. i think it is esc or f12 and the follow the instructions.

I have an older Dell 8100 that is infected, I cannot use it.

It might be really what it says, but chances are you have accidentally started a "fake virus scam" malware, that acts a bit like a virus, but with an added function of luring you into paying for some miraculous anti-virus, that will cure your computer of the multiple "infections" it has allegedly "discovered".
If you can open Internet Explorer, you may try one of the online virus scanners available. If not, the only thing left is to prepare on a clean computer a startup antivirus CD, from which you could boot your computer and run an antivirus program.

Free Online scanners:

Free boot antivirus products (CD image to burn):

Please come back with a testimonial if helped :)

I've got a virus on my inlaws dell. It keeps

Remove any previously installed Spyware programs / download Malwarebytes Anti malware update off internet / disable Antivirus program and install.

Go to safe mode and access Malwarebytes / run through and remove all offending programs. Run a couple of times. Then reboot and run in windows.

We are a Church and do not have a credit card to enable me to renew Anti Virus Protection online. Is it possible to be billed and pay by cheque?

Do not renew your subscription. I am guessing it is Norton(Symantec) or McAfee, unfortunately both of these once reputable anitivirus applications have become loaded with a lot of intrusive software that eats up system resources and slows your computer down.
Use a free antivirus application like AVG, Avast or NOD32. These free applications are just as good if not better to be honest, than either Norton or McAfee.
Here is a link to download the free version of AVG 8.0.

I am the securities moderator on another forum and AVG is by far the most popular antivirus package.

Can you download it and save the install file to disk?
Do you have XP or Vista?
What error or symptoms do you get?

p.s. Grisoft AVG is free and much better - get a refund and download that!
