SOURCE: Machine won't stop filling

Sounds like your solinoid valve needs replacing. It cuts the water off when it has reached the right level.

SOURCE: Admiral Washing Machine not spinning

Make sure the safety switch that the lid operates is getting pushed down. Use a popcicle stick or non metalic object to push the switch in and try to get it to spin. This switch goes bad alot. It is in a wet environment. You will normally hear or feel a click when the switch is depressed. If not, use a putty knife or butter knife to push the top retainer in that are located at the front outer corners in the gap just where the top of the machine meets the rest of the unit. While pushing in you should feel a slight resistance but it should spring in and allow the top to lift up. Make sure to unplug the unit first.... Find the switch and unplug the two wires from it and use something like a paper clip or small wire to connect the two wires together. Let the top set back down, doesn't have to snap down and try to get it to spin again. If this works then the switch is bad... There are plastic parts on some machines that push this switch when the lid is closed that get broken off without you noticing until it just doesn't work right..

SOURCE: loud noise while agitating in wash cycle

If you begin dissassembly from the tub down, you wil come to the transmission with the spindle sticking out of it. If you undo the bendable tabs all around the transmission it comes apart in two halves. Careful, its full of oil. The spindle has a plastic gear bolted to the bottom of it. It meshes with other gears in the tranny. It has sheered teath and is making the noise.

SOURCE: Admiral Washer model #LNC6757 will not agitate

Possibly a loose agitator, try lifting the agitator, if it lifts then it is un secure, remove the softener cap and down inside the agitator you will see the fixing bolt,
You will need to lift out the agitator to retrieve the bolt if it has come fully un done, refit the agitator and secure using a socket and long extension bar.

I have an Admiral 20 lb. capacity heavy duty washer, not sure what model. Machine fills up with water but does nothing aftet that, all controlls seem to work fine. Before this issue it would rinse and in...

There should be a module that does the agitation bit for the washer motor(Spins one way shuts off and reverses the spin etc) There may be a capacitor under the control panel that is not working any more so the motor will not start.

Filled up with water on rinse cycle but wont work

Possible fault in the control panel , could be that the sequential switching to the next cycle is not outputted due to a failed device - a relay.
Remove the panel and check for dry soldering or parts that are burnt in your observation. Also check the voltage in the spin cycle and if this is absent the panel is a suspect as the processor does not advance from the memory set.

Washing machine wont quit filling during rinse cycles

if this is a top loading machine. turn it off the pull the drain hose up about six inches but do not remove it from the wall drain you should here water flowing out of the hose once the water has stopped restart you machine with the hose in the sam e position then it should fill up to the proper level and start washing. all this is provided it is not over flowing on the floor.

let me know how things go for and good luck

Stops during rinse cycle

Dear customer,

We recommend the following when a washer's cycles dont advance..
  1. If the washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer does not advance, the timer probably needs to be replaced
  2. If the timer does not advance while the washer is in a spin cycle, the timer probably needs to be replaced
  3. If the timer does not advance during the rinse cycle, check whether water has filled the tub, if not, it is likely cold water related. Check the cold water supply valve, check the supply hose for kinks, check the filter screen and check the water inlet valve
For details on how to self test these parts plz refer to http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/washer.php
Plz rate this solution.. thank you..

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Cold water will not stop filling during rinse

while the unit is filling in the warm cycle. reach behind and shut off the hot water tap.I bet the water flow stops filling, if so, you would need to change the inlet valve on the machine. You see, in warm, if the cold is not filling, you still hear the hot filling and the unit will advance. The rinse cycles are mostly "cold" only. if the valve is not opening it will not allow it to advance from the rinse section on the board.

Good luck!

Shutting down on rinse cycle

Hi this could means that you may need to replace the washing machine bearings. Once the bearings are bad, the motor overheats and it will automatically shut down after the first rinse.
