Do you think that something like material, stockings or other things might be stuck there.
A electician can probably make the correct diagnoses.
Hope this works out for you.

Kenmore oasis washer noisy when spinning

Hi, your probably right about the bearing its usually hard to tell untill they have compltely gone have you tried turning the drum by hand to see if it turns smoothly if it does then it could be the motor thats noisy both can be replaced but the drum bearing is a nighmare trust me you need pullers and its hard work.
So try turning the drum by hand and see if you can feel any roughness or catching this would tell you if the drum bearing has gone.
Let me know the outcome ok

Washing machine hard to turn

If the drum is hard to turn you may have something in between the drums or the bearings may have siezed in either the drum or motor. Remove the belt if it has one and try and turn the drum then as this may help narrow down what is causing the problem i.e. drum bearings or motor bearings.

Drum seems too bee difficult to drive, can the drum be oiled

no it cant be oiled,,,,you would get oil over your clothes its hard to turn becouse of the gearing from the motor through the drive belt to the drum,,,ie:the motor turn's 20 times the drum turn's once?

Comes on but drum does not turn

It sounds like the belt is either off or is broken.
Open the door of the dryer and try to turn the drum with your hand. It should be a little hard to turn. If it is reall easy to turn the drum then the belt is either off or broke.

You can take off the top of the unit, and in the middle of the drum you should see the thin belt. It should be tight against the drum.

Past few days, dryer got very noisy. Then drum

The noise is coming from a moving part. There are only a few that normally cause a problem. Also the dryer drum not turning freely is what broke your belt. Here is what I would replace. Drum rollers, Drum slides and idler pulley. You can check these parts before you replace them. If the drum rollers don't spin real easy, replace. If the idler pulley does not turn easy, replace. If the drum slides are worn, replace. Your model may be one with a front drum bearing. If it looks worn, replace.
You may be able to take dryer apart, try turning drum. Listen for the noise and notice if the drum is hard to turn. If so, you may be able to determine if the problem is in the front or back of drum. Keep on mind that the noise might have been the belt slipping due to the drum being hard to turn. Either way, when you have it repaired, it should run with the noise. Good luck.

Dryer does not start. Drum does not turn by hand. Only makes a sound when switch is turned on.

If it is a sound like a loud hum, the motor is either fried or something is jammed preventing the drum from turning. It could be something like a sock. You just have to open things up and look around carefully, especially around the outside of the drum.

If the noise is a more normal one but the drum is not turning, check that the belt is around the drum and not broken. Some drums are just fairly hard to turn by hand, partcularly if the belt is still around the drum.

Dryer Motor won't always start Model FSE747GES

Too much drag on the Drum. Try lubricating the rollers that the drum turns on. Check the belt tensioner pully...lubricate that as necessary. If Drum still turns very hard after this then take belt off of motor and try turning drum. If drum turns easily then replace motor.
