Hi,
First check fuse in pwer board, if it is not burnt then check the main capacitor must pop up, replace the poped component and your tv works fine again. Thanks

DELL OPTIPLEX GX50 GX 50, HDD getting very hot + psu too!! HELP!!

Hard drives can exhibit extraordinary heat output as the platter bushings start to go bad. Sometime they will make noise, but not always. As the platter bushing wear out the drive system draws more amperage from the power supply. This can cause both the HDD and the power supply to generate exesive heat. Unfortunately, there is no definate test for this. If you have a spare drive, you can run it for a couple of hours to test this theory. Best bet is to get that data backed up before you loose the drive all together.
