Question about Radio Communications
They have unused for two years, now they are charged up, one is working fine, the 2nd when switched on goes beep - - beep - - beep etc without stopping. It sounds like each beep is the one you get when a normally functioning one is first switched on, it may be that the unit is continually going through its start up routine ending in the beep. I've tried new AAA batteries and get the same result. Is there a reset button? Any ideas?
Good you tried new batteries. There is a reset, but it wipes the programming out. It does nothing for the radio. Still think you have a power issue. Clean the battery contacts with alcohol and a light sanding with a high grit sandpaper, like 300 or better 600. Then clean them again with alcohol. Post your results!

SOURCE: handset has No link to base
I was having the same problem with the same model phone, and fixed the problem by rebooting the phone – unplugging the AC and phone cord from the base station and plugging both back it, then removing and replacing the handset to regenerate the security code.

SOURCE: amp staying in protection mode
No, this amp is not a heavy power consumer- matter of fact it takes very little power to run.Maybe you should check the fuses on the amp to see if they are what is recommended. Also check your fuse kit to your amp- your fuse might not be big enough. If neither works take it back where u got it.

Here is a link to Uniden's site, and on the right side of the page, there is a link for a download manual pdf and helpline
also worth checking if any buttons are stuck, or if the handset is set to pulse rather than tone mode, or if it has had a tumble or knock, possibly the keypad connector has come loose .
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: dishwasher not running
is the Start/Resume indicator flashing?
Opening the door or interrupting the power stopped the cycle. Close the door and press START/RESUME.
Does the Start/Resume indicator flash 3 times when you
press START/RESUME? The dishwasher is waiting for you to
open the door after the last cycle. Open and close the door,
then press START/RESUME.
may be the motor has stopped due to an overload....as you have mentioned...many of the buttons were pressed...
The motor automatically resets itself within a few minutes. If it does not restart, call for service.

Your radio will recall the last setting you were on when you shut the radio off. So when you turn it on again, it will be in the same mode.
Your radio is stuck in scan mode, either by being programmed by the user that way, or by the button being stuck. Most-likely it is from someone playing with the unit and turning on scan. On some Motorola models scan is depicted by a little button with a Z on it. If this is the case press the Z button and then turn the radio off. When you turn it back on you should be good to go.
Otherwise, Get out your owners manual and look for directions on shutting off scan, or resetting the radio to the factory default settings. If you do not have the manual, do a quick google search for your radio model and the words "user manual". If you don't find one, post here again, and some of us will try to locate one for you.
