The level meter in the middle of the amplifier face no longer lights up. It seems like a new PC board is needed to remedy the situation

How do I adjust contrast?

There are Function Keys to do this.

from Troubleshooting section. Keyboard (if contrast and brightness function key)

Fan is running, oven seems to still be heating, but no lights on display

If other electrical components are working, then you probably have a bad display module, or possibly even just a ribbon cable between the display and the main circuit board that got pinched and is no longer transmitting power or data to the display.

If you can remove the ribbon cable you can use an ohm meter to determine whether there is a broken wire by touching the two ends of each wire with the leads from your ohm meter. If the ribbon cable is working properly, then it's time to replace the display.

Indicating the make/model of the appliance would help others to identify replacement parts as well as provide instructions on how to remove panels to access those parts.

Good luck!

Ga-h61m-s2v-b3 not coming on using power switch

I agree with Mike, but would like to add a couple of things. I had the same problem with a Gigabyte board (new install) and found that I had to change the CMOS battery. I put in a new batter, and "voila" it worked fine after that. Also, not knowing your level of experience, make sure the front panel connections are on correctly. Generally speaking, if you look at the lettering on the plastic ends that plug into the board pins on the front panel connector, the lettering should face the edge of the board and not be facing the middle of the board. That too has caused a similar sounding problem in the past. Other than these two potential solutions, more information is definitely needed.

For some unknown reason the db meter on the display stopped working and the volume wont go up very high at all?

Got a feeling that this amp might be powered by a big IC somewhere that's failed. Perhaps something looking like this:fffa1d0d-4877-4ce2-b3fa-89d116a21d5f.jpg

Need voltage level on dial lamps for a Mitsubishi DA-C20 PreAmp.

I don't have one here to verify, so the easiest way to determine this is to actually measure it using a volt meter. These "fuse type" bulbs are readily available from mcmelectonics.com (and others too). Follow either the wires or the traces for these bulbs on the board. Some units have 2 in series. These are either 6,8 or 12V bulbs. If memory serves me correctly, most mitsubishi units use 12V bulbs.

Keep us posted.

Yes, I'm sure Alpine will sell you another face but there is still the option of repairing the broken face at a good repair shop. Of course getting a new face is the easiest (read most expensive) way to get you going again.
