My Samsung SyncMaster 204BW monitor used to let me display at a resolution of 1680x1050. Now, I can't select to set it at that resolution (I can to choose between 1440x900 or 1600x1200 among some other smaller resolution options but that is it). I have no idea what changed and I have no idea why this is happening. On the monitor itself it says that the choice of resolution is not optimal and recommends 1680x1050. Can you please help me understand why, all of a sudden, this has become a problem? I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but under the display properties->settings tab, if I click on the pull down menu, both options say (Multiple Monitors) on ATI Mobility Radeon X1300. Maybe this has something to do with it? I also occasionally switch out the monitor for my TV (I only have one VGA slot on my laptop and I'm using VGA to connect the second monitor). My settings for the TV are different and maybe my laptop is getting confused? Again, just some more details that may or may not be relevant. Thank you.
