How do you know what bios you areusing on your computer?

The BIOS is in a chip on your motherboard. When you first turn on your computer, hitting the Del, F2 or F12 keys (depending on manufacturer) will usually get you into your BIOS setup. You may find the name and version of the BIOS there.

Also consider downloading and running the Belarc Advisor on a working computer... The Belarc Advisor produces an extensive analysis of your system and sometimes shows specific motherboard and BIOS information.

I'm looking for a Sager 5600D motherboard replacement. Please email me at if you have this part for sale. If I can't get the motherboard I would consider selling my Sager....

Sager and Clevo are one and the same. The issue is Sager has no spare part inventory. This is a market strategy. You can send it in for repairs but they charge a lot of money. Sounds like the issue would be solved with a reflow and it is a common problem with the model you listed .

I have a problem with my computer. after i reinstall windows xp, I do not have drivers for the motherboard. I was confused because the motherboard had no clue the manufacturer. listed in the motherboard...

If you can't identify the motherboard, download Belarc Advisor from here:

Save it to the Desktop, then install it and run it. Belarc should be able to tell you exactly which motherboard you have. Post that information here and then maybe someone can help you find the drivers you need.

Good luck; let us know the information from Belarc and someone should be able to help you solve this problem

Hi , when i open device manager ( after formatting) i see 2 marks in yellow color : sm bus controller video controller ( vga compatible) . notice : the computer is Pc and the windows is xp

Your graphics adapter's (VGA card) drivers are missing. that's why you are getting this problem. You would have trouble playing games and using other 3d applications in this state.

If your graphics adapter came with a disc, insert it and follow the instructions to fix this problem.

in addition you can try these:
Since you haven't mentioned the adapter's make and model, I can't provide an exact solution, but if you go to the graphics adapter's website, you might be able to find the drivers. You might also be able to find the drivers on Good luck.

USB ports dont do anything when I insert a USB key. I think its because of the Device Manager missing some devices. I check and I use to have lots of devices under the Universal Serial Bus Controller but...

Hi gracie,

I suspect that your motherboard chipset drivers have become corrupted; that would cause the USB problems you've described. What motherboard does your system use? If you can't identify it, simply download Belarc Advisor from here:

Save Belarc Advisor to the Desktop; when the download is complete, double-click the file ("advisor.exe") and run it. Belarc should be able to tell you which motherboard you have. Post the make and model of the motherboard here and then maybe someone can help you find the motherboard chipset drivers you need. Once you reinstall the chipset drivers, your USB problems should be solved.

Run Belarc and post the information about your motherboard. Also, don't forget to reboot your system after you reinstall the chipset drivers. You MUST reboot to get the USB drivers to load at bootup, which should solve your problems.
