best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Hi i have a HD-LBU2

first we will deal with the error CRC because there are many CRC errors im not sure which yours relates to
click start control panel administrive tools computer management then select event viewer depending on what operating sytem you have this may vary
in left panel extend the events there you will see errors in red right panel you will no what exactly what the error was and at what time it occured if its a system file error

click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive this should schedule to happen when you restart your computer another way of running the chkdsk utility
click start control panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in the box to repair the attempt a repair on the files then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart you any input while the chkdsk utility is in progress it might damage your hard drive

click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x
right click to reinstall drivers or
if you can see your usb but its not working
ports(com&lpt)right click update driver
sometimes the wires inside the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy equipment upon the cable,
just replace the cable of the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work fine again,

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red-white-green-black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems also make sure the computers Ram and Cmos battery are securely seated
if this fails to fix the problem

you might have to install a usb 2 or 3 card they are cheap and easy to install you can buy these on Ebay very cheap
hope this helps you

My friend dropped my Hard Drive and it wont work any more. What do I do?

Hard drives are easily damaged by dropping them onto the floor. There is nothing you can do to fix this hard drive.
Retrieving data from damaged hard disk is possible. There are companies that can remove the disk platters from the damaged hard drive and with special equipment may be able to recover your data, but it will cost you an arm and a leg for their services. The reason for this high cost, they dismantle and remove the platters in the hard drive in a clean room environment and set up the platters up in jig/drive to retrieve/copy the data.

How to setup a wireless connection to HD-HG300LAN & Lenovo Laptop

Either connect it to the router ..and access it in the network ..or get into its settings ..and enable the wireless and connect to it wireless just like any other wireless connection ..
here are the manual and the quick set-up for it ..
You can even connect it directly to usb ..but will not have teh capability for wireless ..
The best way is to connect it to the router and access it from this point ..THis way you can access it from a cable LAN connection and from the router;s wireless one ..and even from its own wireless connection if it is enabled..
the general idea is that will share the information on it by cable and its own wireless ..and you will not depend on the internet connection unless you want to connect to it from another location .
In general the configuration is made just like in a router ..access it from the browser or by run command..

External Buffalo Hard Disk 500 Gb model no HD-PF500U2/BK-AP not detecting when connnected to a laptop or a desktop PC

Check the usb port function in the computer bios settings and be sure that it is set to yes. Connect properly your external drive. If it has two wire usb connections, use both to obtain the maximum power that will be need by your drive.
