Cannot get TV to work on antenna...In menu I set cable to off, then initiate autoprogram but tv says "no signal". My antenna has a bulit in digital to analog converter. Suggestions?

Must buy a Digital converter box and to install it seperatly to devert back to tv anlogue tv signal to make the tv to work.Tv antena inverter alone can't convert analogue signal to digital signal only can give basic tv antena for better antena reception.Tries websites like, to buy a stand alone digital converter box to install and that didigal antena install and auto scan again u should able to get all the free DTV air stations.

My zenith sentry tv has a double image on the words that come on screen. The people are clear but all wording has double images

Double images are technically called Ghosts, occures due to the setting and direction on the antena. You have to reorient your antena, in such a way that Ghosts disappeares from your screen. The reson for this fault is not with the TV, as it gets a direct transmission signal, and a reflected signal of the same, reflected from near or far objects, like tall buldings, hills and so on. The signals, the orginal and the reflected, will be processed by the TVs internal ciiruit, and the first will appear as strong picture, followed by the second, a weak picture, will be seemed as an image of the first one, just on the right side [view point] of your TV.
You just adjust the position and height of your antena, looking the picture, where there is minimum Ghost level is. No other repair should be done to your TV, as it is perfect, and you just give it only direct signal path. OK.

Lost some stations on my Sony lcd TV.

It is most likely a signal issue. Bad coax connections, splitters and faulty cable are usually the culprit. Best to call your cable company and request a signal test. You may also try swapping tvs. Swap sony with viewsonic in the room where viewsonic tv is.

Not DTV ready?

it meens the tv set is in dtv and the dtv conection is not set up.
hd tv is a red blue a green cable.
and the antena conection needs to come from a converter box if signal is coming from antena if from sat or cable you should have a hd box that feeds your set.
hope this helps.

Samsung LCD LNT4042H

Hi Barb,
Unfortunatly the problem you are asking about is a normal happening in our area with customers of mine that use rabbit ear or house mounted antennas ( Normally not cable or satellite dish). This problem sounds to me like a lack of signal strength on certain channels where your loosing your sound. Since your LCD TV is digital it requires a bit more signal strength to produce sound and picture. Maybe a better antenna, or redirection the antenna toward the station transmitter. Hope this helps.
