You mentioned a fix for an E10 error on a Lavamat washer/dryer which involved replacing the "valve".

This is worth posting in case anyone else has the problem. The mechanic was stumped and then around 3 days later a Zanussi gave the same problem - steam emitting from the drum. He changed the valve - the entire unit. Problem solved. Zanussi and AEG have identical internals. He changed our valve - problem solved.

I had the same problem and fixed it by replacing the triple valve. One of the inlets passes water to the condenser and this had failed. You can tell this by opening up the top and when the drier starts you here the drain working and then should hear a gentle hiss as the water is let through. If you don't hear anything then after 10 mins you get the E10 error. It cost me £27 which is cheaper than getting a new machine or a call out charge. If you feel competent then all you need is a philips screwdriver, pliers to get the clips off and a flat head driver to remove the rubber hoses.

Lavamat?! Where in the *&%^ is this machine from? Yugoslavia! I'm guessing it will not allow water IN Because only the Spin (Centrifuge) cycle works?! So if that is so you need your water inlet valves replaced, there are Two. Even in machines named after a Bar of Soap!

E10 is related to water flow and if it isn't due to the 3-way valve being defective there's another common point to check.
The back and side cover needs to be removed to get at the condenser that, over time, can fill with fluff and stop the hot air from circulating. It and its connecting pipes can be unclipped and cleaned out.

I have an AEG Electrolux 16830 - I get an error code E10 - pressing the start switch recommences the program and it completes as normal. How do I reset the machine so this does not happen. An engineer...

E10 indicates that the water inlet hose is squashed or kinked.

First check the filter for coins or other junks.
Make sure the drain hose isn't blocked, restricted or kinked.

Hope this helps.. Good luck! ;)

AEG Lavamat washer dryer, machine washes clothes fine but gives error code E10 every time dryer is put on. Any ideas how to fix this?

Yes you need to change the cold water valve you dont mention the model so it will either be a 2 coil or 3 coil water valve. one of the valves responsible for the tumble drying condensing is faulty.

E10 PROPLEM AEG

Hi,
Your Machine manual is HERE

E10 is an inlet fault.
Check the water valve is turned on. If you are only getting a dribble of water in, then clean the inline filter at the hose inlet.
If no sound of inlet water - replace inlet valve (available as a spare from online stores)
