Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: i have an error code 001B on my 1690mf can any

Hello,
Yes I have had this exact same problem.
It makes a thumping (louder) sound when turning off and on the Machine too. This is caused by not putting in the toner 100% in. If you want to get the toner securely in, try pressing (trying not to touch the toner bars) the toner cartridges in as much as you can from the front panel, and top panel (taking out the top imaging peice first to access the toners).

How do i remove toner manually in a a oki mc160. I am getting a service call 001b error

Error 001b means the dev motor cannot turn. The most common problem on this extremely complicated system is that a toner has not been locked correctly and has come loose thus jamming the drum and preventing it from turning. The easiest way to resolve this is to remove the front cover which will give access to the drum mechanism. You hopefully may be able to then push the unlocked toner back into place. This type of printer is a pain when it goes wrong. Have not seen one in years even though only came out in 2009. Good luck.

How to convert octal numbers into binary numbers

Each octal digit represents three binary digits. Simply convert each octal digit to three binary digits and string them together.

0o = 000b
1o = 001b
2o = 010b
3o = 011b
4o = 100b
5o = 101b
6o = 110b
7o = 111b

As an example, to convert 351o to binary:
3o is 011b
5o is 101b
1o is 001b
so 351o is 011101001b

Km1690 call for service 001b

Sorry to hear about your 1690... but the error you're seeing is a pretty common one, so you definitely aren't alone.

The first step is rebooting the machine. Usually this clears the error, and you can resume normal operation. If that doesn't fix it you will need to obtain service. My experience dictates that the code you're seeing could mean a couple different things. I have seen this stem from a drum malfunction (pretty basic) to a mainboard failure (very serious). The only way to know for sure is to have a technician look at it and run appropriate diagnostics.
