Question about Panasonic AG-188 Camcorder

Open Question

Battery will not charge!

I know the question has been already asked, but I still never got a working answer. I put the battery in the charger and only the power light is on. The charge light never comes on. I have a thing that clips onto the charges of the battery, but has a dc cord to it (Which I have no clue what it is/does.) Any help will be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: panasonic ds27 camcorder charge

It could need a new battery.  The battery can't hold a charge in it anymore.

SOURCE: Charging Panasonic NV-DS38

Yes that is correct.

You have to use a separate charger as the "DC in" socket is on the camera body underneath the battery.

Why wont my cell phone charge

How many times has the battery been charged. Test the voltage of the battery with a multimeter as batteries do have a user life. While you have the multimeter, test the output voltage of your charger to confirm that it is working.

I was using my psp while it was charging and the charging light turned off, so i naturally assumed that it was fully charged. But a few minutes later the battery died and it wont charge when i plug it in....

Have you tried to remove the battery and put it back in and try to turn it on. Try removing the battery and putting the charger in and starting the PSP. If it starts, it might be the battery. If it doesn't, it's either the plugin for the charger or the PSP is just dead. If it does start with the charger, try putting the battery back in, if it charges awesome. If it doesn't the battery might be dead.

Dewalt battery charger won't charge

As you know, solid red on your charger means that the battery is fully charged and the BLINKING red light means the battery is charging. Unless the light is blinking irradically everything is working the way it is supposed to. If the light is blinking irradically, the battery may just be too hot or too cold to charge ( like when you are driving many lags and your battery dies) and in this case simply wait 15 minutes to charge. If you get a fast blinking light still, the problem probably is with the battery.

Samsung u740 wont charge anymore

Bad battery, you can get one pretty cheap off of www.uxcell.com for like 3 or 4 bucks, as far as using a generic charger, I never heard of that before, if you know someone with the same phone, ask yhem to use the battery for a second, and try to charge your phone.

HP DV6915nr AC charger does not turn on or charge the battery.

You have a defective regulating circuit on the mother board that will not allow charging or a broken connector pin at power connection .

D40 does not turn on!!

First, make sure that your battery charger appears to be working. next, check that the battery contacts are clean on both the battery and inside the camera. If that doesn't work then you'll need to try another battery: a camera shop should be able to pop a freshly charged one inside if you ask nicely, although you'll probably need to go back to the shop after they've charged it. If your camera works on the new battery then ask them if they'll try charging your old one. If it takes and holds a charge then you have a faulty charger. The camera shop owner will be happy either way as you'll be gratefully buying one or the other rather than scampering off to eBay to get one for less (eBay/Amazon Marketplace batteries are frequently poor quality counterfeit batteries anyway).

Lithium batteries are still an immature technology and so some can just fail.

Sorry I can't be more helpful at this point, but these are the obvious and first points which you'll need to check in order to establish that there really is more to this than just a battery or charger failure. If the problem is not one of these then I suggest that you post a new question with details of what you have already checked and ruled out as potential causes.

I hope that I've helped you and only ask in return that you rate my answer.

Battery not charging

You need a new battery. That battery goes dead maybe its a factory defect its very rare this to happen but try to contact the Company to ask if you have a warranty for this unit. One more thing make sure that your charger is functioning.
