Battery mode not fuctioning

Greeting to all, I just bought MID tablet (for sure it is made in China) a week ago and it is working fine. I can tell you guys this device work perfectly and really cheap of course (for sure the quality and services is slightly different from branded item). A few day later, something wrong happened with my tablet which is the device only can turn ON when it is plugged in and I cannot turn it ON while on battery. The battery bar indicator shows 100% charged but when I plug it off, it totally dead. Is there any damaged in electronic part because it show that the battery health is good. Did anyone have any idea how to solve this? What kind of part that I should replace? Appreciate if you can share with me.

You might need a new battery
if it only turns on when plugged in to a power source
you could check the lead connections but this could be a long process
with a mid tablet
you might need a manual

Thanks for your help. Yes, I do have the manual but it just a guide to know the function and how to get use of it. Probably I do need the MID's circuit diagram.

As I am not the expert, but have a bit of knowledge in diagram/flow, maybe by asking a logic question can direct and help me to solve this matter.

1. What kind of electronic part that can switch from direct AC power to battery mode?
2. Is there any possibility if the high voltage from power source or the polarity switching can effect that electronic part and make it turns only for plugged in?
3. What is the name of that electronic part and how much it cost?

im not sure if tablets have any switches to direct different power sources once its plugged in power supply it automatically should run and overide the battery power and charging the battery at the same time unless it has a point for charging
what sort of battery is it and where was it made (china) it could be the problem ?

Hi Brian,

I think the capacitor might be damaged because of overheat or eventually short out. I totally agree with you, it can be happen because of where it was made. If it occurs, will it cause as subject above?

any capacitator damage can cause lots of issues to any motherboard and attached device making it inoperable
depending on how or which capacitator is damaged it might vary

Rca tablet wont charge

We are having the same problem with all 3 of our RCA tablets. Like you said, we have to find the right position for the charger and hold it that way. If you can hold it for a couple of minuets, the battery icon will flash and you will be able to tell if it's charging. Very frustrating I know. We will never buy RCA again. They are honestly junk.

Battery wont charge on my Mid m9100 android tablet pc

Are you sure the charger is working correctly? When you plug the charger into the tablet and into the wall, then leave it alone for half an hour, does the charger feel at all warm? Is there power to that outlet, or is it a switched outlet (like one used for a lamp)?

If the charger feels warm after half an hour, does the back of the tablet also feel warm? It may actually be charging.

If the charger is dead cold (same temperature as a table) and you're sure that it's plugged into a good outlet and correctly plugged into the tablet, then it's a good bet that the charger is dead & you need to find another.

Can you also charge that tablet with a USB cable connected to a PC? That'd be a good test. Try doing that - if that ALSO will not charge the tablet, then there may be a problem with the tablet itself.

Check with a volt meter to check if you are getting voltage out of the thermastat and switch.

you can't really get around the fact that digital cameras create a heavy strain on batteries. rechargables are the only way to go with them. now about the chinese battery. the voltage may be fine but that is not under load (being in the camera during operation) so it's deceptive about the voltage.
