SOURCE: I Need a driver for my emerson Musicstick mp3 player

Not sure this will solve every ones problem but I had to upgrade media player to Version 10 to get this to work. I was running XP SP2 with media player version 9 and could not get it to show up in My computer. Also with ver9 I could download to the device but it would not recognize the files. Once I upgraded to ver10 all was golden. I think you also need to have USB 2.0.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: My computer isn't detecting my Sansa mp3 player anymore.

First, make sure the lock switch isn't engaged.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + (or Record) button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + (or Record) button in. Keep holding the volume + (or Record) button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start --> Control Panel-->System--> Hardware--> Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).

SOURCE: mp3 player says ''no file'' after repeated Sync attempts

I have one of these too and finally figured it out! If you push the menu button on the side, you get a menu that you can scroll through with the left/right arrows on the face. The music icon should be first in the list, but if not, scroll until you get it highlighted. Once highlighted, push menu again to select it. My trouble was in not realizing that the menu button is also the select button!

SOURCE: MP3 Player Not Charging!!! (USB)

The most common cause is a flat battery. There is a trick to charging

the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned

on, and it won't charges if it's in sleep mode (zzzz). Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje player on
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting

"System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

The driver for my Emerson 2gb MP3 player is on an undersized cd. How do I get the driver?

Emerson does not have a support page on their web-site for driver downloads.
Dont know if this will work, try it:
Update driver on your computer using Control Panel, then System, then Hardware, then Device Manager, then Storage Volumes. When promted to update or find a new driver select to find your own windows driver and select the "USB Storage Device" drivers NOT the MTP Drivers. You should see the Emerson MP3 player icon in My Computer after files are configured.

You can also see if some friends might have a CD/DVD player that accepts the smaller discs, if so, have them copy the entire disc to a USB Flash drive or regular CD. Then try to install it from there.

I have emerson mtp ver 3.50.00 it will say music has been added on computer but dsnt show on mp3 its not on voice mode

Ok, it took me several hours to figure out such a simple problem. I couldn't open my Emerson 3.50 up on the computer. Therefore I couldn't delete any of the music or add more. It is because it isn't downloading the right driver. You have to manually search your computer for the USB Mass Storage driver and install that. Go into Control Panel, then hardware/sound, then Device Manager. When in device manager find your portable devicse and click on it. Then click on Audio Player. choose update driver and instead of auto driver select, choose "Let me pick a driver". Then choose USB Mass Storage for the driver. Once it has updated you will see all of your songs on Media player. And it works as an MP3 player should!
