Question about Dyna-Glo D-E36 Infra-Red Wall Mounted Panel Heater

Legacy heater problem

Three years ago we purchesed a Legacy propane wall heater with a blower from TSC (Tractory Supply Company) Now that we are having a problem with it, we find out they no longer sell them. And cannot give us any information on trouble shooting. Everyone we call says they want to come out to look at it, and charge us money. And we cannot find anything on the internet about them, nor can we find our users manual.
The heater has the blue flame on the front, not the yellow one.
The problem we are having is that we are smelling alot of gas and a flame shoots out the front when it lights. So it seems that it is getting to much gas to it??? We were told that there is an ajustment on the Dynaflow ones, so there may be one on the Legacy. We do not move it around because it is in a permanent place.

Look to see if they put a recall on it....I bought one and they were recalled and the company went out of I was told to junk it and am screwed? Just look up Legacy recalls and see if your model number matches like mine did!

I have Legacy ventless propane heater 15,000btu.

Try to take pilot assembly apart and clean real good. This will work most of the time. If it does not work for you, you will need to replace the gas valve. It's expensive but I'm about positive that cleaning it will fix it. Gas burns dirty and after a couple seasons a scale builds up that causes this problem. It's pretty common and nothing to worry about after it's cleaned. Good luck.

first make sure there is no obstructions in the burners, rust, dirt dobers nest or any kind of stuff stopping the burners up. the whole burner won't have to be stopped up to throw flames out.
