What would cause compressor oil to migrate to dischage air.

If it is a screw compressor and by you saying you replaced the seperator i would say it it you need to check the scavange line. This is a pipe that goes to the bottom of the seperator filter and sucks any excess oil back into the bottom of the element (pump ) if this is blocked oil will pass down the line insted of going back into compressor. Check pipe on seperator and flex hose going from seperator vessel to bottom of element.

My air compressor will crank and run for 7 to 10 minutes and then die just like you turn the key off.

well you didnt mention what year or model number you got but some of the better IR compressors have a fuel saver mode that if they don't sense any change in load for like 15 minutes they shut off could be what your seeing , or could also be a safety sensor on the seperator tank not seeing any pressure build up (bad or damaged sensor?)

Oil leaking from back of air filter

Hi Robert, oil leaking from your air cleaner is caused by oil carryover from the engine. For what ever reason the breather system is not seperating enough oil mist and air from the piston downstroke. There are cheap and quick easy fixes and there are more exspensive ones. Start by trying the following:
1. Run your oil level half way between the add and full mark when hot.
2. Run oil breather lines from head into a TEE fitting below carb/induction module then a single line into a mini filter under frame.
3. Purchase Arlen Ness Super Sucker.
4. Replace umbrella valves and realign oil pump
5. Upgrade oil pump and cam plate
Good luck

hi, just because you topped it up will oil it do'snt mean the oil good. the oil could be 4 years old and full of sludge the oil pipe filter filler can be partially blocked ( in the sump), the oil releif vale can stick open and pass oil back to the sump. the oil filter (changable external) can be partially block. to test oil is free to circulate START ENGINE TICKING OVER and TAKE THE OIL FILLER CAP OFF to see if oil comes out of the ROKER COVER. if not then the above applies

Where is the pcv located on a 2200

Depending on your car, it may or may not have a pcv as in 1998, they were phased out. A car built in 1997 for 1998 may still have it where as a car built in 1998 for 1998 may not have it.

98 and older:
As you are standing in front of the car facing the engine, if you look down at the top of the engine it is in the back lefthand corner of the valve cover. You will see a weird looking 1-1 1/4 inch star shaped nut on a round thing that sort of slopes up out of and toward the back of the engine & has about a 4" tube sticking out connecting to another assembly. If it is on too tight to loosen with by hand use a channel locks pliers to loosen it. Then pull the tube out & the pcv valve will be inserted into the end of the tube. Simply replace & hand tighten the nut.

98 and newer:
later 2.2L OHV engines "have an oil/air seperator inside the valve rocker arm cover that requires no maintenance. 2.3L and 2.4L OHC engines are equipped with an oil/air seperator that is attached to the side of the block above the oil filter."

Masport Lawnmower won't start

you likley will need a new air filter and a carb cleaning. when mowers are turned on their side. oil will seep past the piston and if your intake valve was open it can pass thru into the carb and also spoil your air filter. I am assumeing you have a paper air filter. start by taking off your air filter. then you should also pull the spark plug, place a rag covering the hole. then pull the cord a couple times. chances are that you will blow the oil out of the cylinder.
