Question about Car Audio & Video
When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your carradio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your Kia service centre andget them to enter this code for you.

You need to have your book with all your serial no's etc. Then phone Kia in your country (eg Kia Australia) and give them all the right info and they'll give you the code over the phone. You do not have to take out the stereo, and don't phone a local dealer as they will tell you this has to be done and will cost from $75 upwards.

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere
within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)
To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .
If not then POST A BRAND NEW QUESTION
quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number
Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Testimonial: "very quick to answer thank you."
Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.
So you can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorised suzuki dealership.Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.
