Hi, I just did clean my logitech pad without any sratch. Here is how I did dissemble it.
There are 10 screws. 3 at the back of the pad, which can be removed very easy. Another 7 are under the shiny plastic part with whole for the airflow in front of the pad. It is easy to remove it. I used a wrapping ribbon (the ordinary for wrapping presents) and put it through the wholes in the top middle part of the cover, in the way you end up holding both ends of the ribbon. And gently pull the cover apart of the pad. It goes quite easy. Then remove the 7 screws (2 are hidden in the wholes with the white plastics)...and you can start cleaning. I did not remove the fen part itself. Its easy to clean it with an old toothbrush.
I hope this helps.

Cleaning the fan

I use compressed air to clean out the heat sink fins and fan. This is less thorough than pulling these items and cleaning them, as that usually requires a full disassembly to access these items - but it ususally suffices if you do this on a regular basis (once every month or two).

If full disassembly is required, Google "<My laptop model> disassembly" and you will most likely find several YouTube videos or step-by-step instructions showing you the process.

One caution - NEVER vacuum the interior of a computer. Doing so can produce static electricity that can damage/destroy internal components.

Hope this helps...

Getting overheated and then shutdown latop immediately, sometimes it works for hr and soemtiems it turns down in 10mins. Mins is acer 4730z laptop.

Follow this steps to avoid overheating:
-Don't use your laptop in full sunlight for extended periods
-Don't leave the laptop in a closed car on a sunny day
-Don't place the laptop on or near extreme heat sources, such as radiators, hot air vents
-Turn off your laptop before putting it in your carry bag
-Turn off your laptop when not in use for a long period
-Work on an even surface as much as possible, not on your lap!
-Clean the air vents in your laptop regularly by using a can of compressed air
-Get more space under your computer by propping it up on something when it's on a desk
-Consider purchasing a laptop cooling pad
-Consider purchasing an external fan

To clean your laptop's cooling system:
-Shut down the laptop ie do not leave it suspended, sleeping or hibernating.
-Unplug all cables from the unit and remove the battery pack
-Get a can of compressed air and blow it into all vents around your computer - this should clear out any dust and hair.
-Do Not use a vacuum cleaner.

Iam using HP Desktop D530 when i open some programmes but processor fan runs so fast and loud 2 gb ram in my pc and hard disk is 20 gb how can i reduce noice of fan ?

To reduce the fan noise, open the PC Case and clean the fan. Also, proper ventilation keeps the system cool and the fan runs at lower speed.

Hope this helps!

My acer aspire 5315 shuts off suddenly and won't restart till it wants to. I replaced the battery, no difference....what's wrong?

This could be a sign that your laptop is overheating. If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.
You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced

My old Sharp Actius UM32W laptop powers off after about 3 minutes and the number pad "N" indicator light flashes. How do I fix this?

If none of this solves the problem, or is not the case, then you might have a bad motherboard.
