More than likely the touch/sensor pad underneath the platter is bad. This can only be replaced by a professional.

Hi, if you mean the fault occurs in the cdj vinyl mode and your cd dosent play... then it sounds like your jog wheel sensor membrane. but would have to be checked firstly by an engineer.

if you live in the uk then you can send your pioneer cdj for repair to www.audiovisualservices.info

Hope this has helped you.

My CDJ1000 MK2 doesnt play in Vinyl Mode. The Vinyl light is on and if i move the platter manually the audio seem to be ok but it wont play by itself.what cud be the problem? and the solution?

The problem is almost certainly the "sheet switch" which is a circular plastic "sandwich" of multiple contacts fitted under the platter and when constant pressure is put on it (often when players are stcked on top of each other), it tends to stick together giving the effect you are pressing it when you're not.
The part will cost you about £30.00 + fitting + VAT unless you are confident enough to do it yourself

email me if you would like to order one or discuss sending it for repair. [email protected]

My Pioneer CDJ 800 MK 2 - will not play in the vinyl mode, the cue button is flashing _ if i take it out of vinyl mode it will play fine , do i need to reset it?

Does the unit play in vinyl mode if you turn the platter by hand?. If this the case the commom fault in the "sheet switch" which is under the platter and sensors the pressure when you press the platter.

The "sheet switch" and it is a circular plastic "sandwich" of multiple contacts and when constant pressure is put on it (i.e something is sat on it for a long time), it tends to stick together giving the effect you are pressing it when you're not.

Pioneer cdj 800 mk2 playing mp3s, jogwheel & screen dont work

More than likely the contact pad (aka Membrane pad) is probably damaged... or the flat cable which connects to the main processor, might be loose, or damaged.

You'll need to get this professionally checked out by a qualified technician. It's not an easy fix.

CD BACKSPIN

CD Mode does not react in the same manner as as Vinyl mode when you try to back spin. At the very least, you will only be able to go back a few bars. It's mainly used to set the Cue properly.

If you want it to back spin, you'll have to use the Vinyl mode.

Error on the vinyl mode will let me cue but not play

More than likely you have a bad switch, although this is not something that you could service yourself. I would suggest taking it to a service center in your area. Make sure they are Pioneer authorized, and know what a CDJ800 unit is!

Pioneer CDJ-800 Vinyl Mode Broken

This is a common issue. There is a faulty switch on the CDJ800s, which needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, this is not an easy fix, and will need to be serviced by a professional.

If your unit is under warranty, I suggest sending it off to Pioneer for repair. If you cannot find anyone locally, our company offers nationwide service.
