Question about Dell Latitude C610 Notebook
I just bought this dell c 610 and the fan on this laptop doesn't run when started up.Is it supposed to run all the time or just when a certain temperature is reached.I have not run it long for fear of damage.
The fan is only meant to run when the laptop starts too get warm so don't worry about it. I'd be more worried if the fan never came on at all and would leave computer running to make sure it did come on eventually. Some laptops get warm quickly, others take longer, a lot depends on where the vents are. If your laptop has vents underneath and if your actually using the laptop on your lap then it's a good idea to place laptop on a book (A4 folder is ideal cos it also gives a better typing angle) as this ensures there is an airflow all the time. If your concerned about the temperature then you can download a temperature checker.
Please rate my reply so I know if it was helpful or not, Thanks
