It is most probably a dirty speaker protection relay. gently tap the relay(the one that engages shortly after turning the amp on) when the fault is occurring and see audio returns. This should ascertain the problem. Replace it if it is a sealed type, or if it has a "lid" you can get off, burnish the contacts with a white business card, and give it a spray with contact cleaner/lubricant. Good luck and a "fixYa" rating would be great for my profile :)

My NAD C320 outputs a very low sound volume

Hi there I have a C340 that has similar problem, you must have bought this from ebay, lol.

Nad made a mistake on the C range, the pre - power link can be shorted out. if the pre is shorted out it takes out the pre amplifier stage, I have managed to get the right channel working, I will keep you informed what is the cause of the left channel. I have replaced the pre-amp IC and a couple of Jfets and transistors. Once I have repaired the Amp I could repaire yours if you like???

NAD 7020e sudden volume drops, sudden distortion- intemittently

OK. I dont know the answer to your prob, but to let you konw that youre not in this alone, my amp used to occasionly lose considerable volume in one channel. this could be remedied by cracking the volume up to max for a half second or so. (Not a great solution!!) It has finally given up the ghost ...I have lost one channel and the doctor says it wont come back. Not only this but they claim that spares ceased to be sold back in the 90's. having said this I have enjoyed this amp for almost 20 years. I think its time to put it to pasture.

How do you connect power amp to av

I presume you want to use it to drive speakers from a source controlled by the Denon??? Probably the Front channels? We'll assume that's it...

Run RCA cables from the Pre Out jacks to the NAD's L and R inputs. If it has a volume control, set the NAD to its maximum volume (for consistency *), run through the setup for levels and you're done.

* If it doesn't have a volume control it's already set to max. That's normal for power amps. Your receiver / preamp controls the volume fed to them.

BTW: If you're thinking of using two sets of Front channel speakers simultaneously you'll have to choose a level on the NAD that will match up with the others in volume.

Sound through one channel

Only the right channel had a sound, the left channel is mute, whatever adjustment you did and whatever balancing you done nothigs happen, even you interchange the speakers. The problem is in the power amp. The STK IC there is busted already, it's better to change it with a new one so the performance become normal again.
