Question about Dell Inspiron 600m 1.6GHz Pentium M Notebook (162891033) PC Notebook
Looking in hardware devices the USB ports all indicate working properly; hoever, the ethernet controler has a big yellow "?" indicating an issue there
I recommend you install the latest USB and LAN drivers.
You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on thislink to download the drivers: - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

sounds like your charging circuit isn't working or the adapter isn't putting out enough power or amprage to fully charge the battery, or you battery went bad. if the charging circuit is bad then so is *********** board, time to burry the system and buy a new one

I have good news I do own a dell inspiron 600m, i just went to confirm, i see the drivers right at the dell support and download pages, try this link http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_600M&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
when you get there either by following the link or going to dell support choose the Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller link under all the downloads. Click download now and not add to my download list. you may also try this link http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&releaseid=R85255&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_600M&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2966&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=5&fileid=111674
I would also save the file to my desktop rather than installing it directly from the web, just a preference of mine. hope this works for you.
Let me know.
