The plug for this is a standard plug used on many devices. Personal computers, and guitar amplifiers are what I see them on most. You should be able to pick one up pretty cheap.

Hi Joe,

I have the exact same problem. I just called 1-877-207-0923. You need to wait a long time for an operator. Provide the model number. The cord costs 12.99 with s/h. I've looked in all types of stores and cannot find a plug, so this may be our only choice.

We perked coffee lovers need to stick together

Happy New Year!!!

How to brew coffee

USING YOUR PERCOLATOR
1.Wash the Percolator thoroughly before using for the first time.
(See "Cleaning Instructions" section in this manual.)

2.Remove Cover, Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube. Use cold, fresh
tap water to fill Percolator. Fill according to markings on inside
of Percolator for number of cups desired. Use cold tap water -
the automatic brewing cycle is timed to begin with a cold
water start.
NOTE: The bottom of the Pump Tube Spring marks the maximum
capacity of the Percolator.

3.Wet Coffee Basket to help keep small particles of coffee from sift-
ing through. Place Basket on Pump Tube. Add desired amount of
regular or percolator grind coffee to Basket.

4.Place Pump Tube with Basket into Percolator so bottom of tube is
set into Center Well. Place Spreader on top of Basket and snap
Cover onto Percolator. Attach cord to Percolator and plug into
standard household 120 volt AC wall outlet. Brewing begins
within seconds and continues at a cup-a-minute speed

5.When coffee brewing is complete, percolating will stop. The
Percolator automatically switches to "KEEP WARM" setting to
preserve fresh-tasting coffee at hot, ready-to-serve temperature.
For best flavor, remove Coffee Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube
when brewing is completed.

Vintage farberware percolator does not stop percolating

There is a thermostat in the bottom of the percolator that is broken. It would normally cut off the percolator heating element after the water reaches a certain temperature. It can be replaced but it takes a little skill. There is a video on eBay.

If you want to just unplug the percolator, time it for 1 minute per cup.

Need replacement cord for corning ware E1210 percolator

Since the Corning Ware electric percolators are no longer made, you can find good used replacement cords and other parts on eBay. That's where I go to complete all my pots.

Why won't our poly perk percolator shut off?

I just bought a Poly Perk percolator from a thrift store. If yours is the same, it's a vintage plastic, electric percolator. I found your question while searching for directions for mine. My percolator does'nt shut off either. It just continues running. I don't know if it has a shut off, but I figure I'll just unplug mine for now since it made really good coffee. If it's supposed to shut off, I suspect we're both stuck with few options. I hope you find your solution though.

I need a longer power cord for my GE 12 cup percolator. It has three prongs.

Hi, My advice is don't make the cord too long. they can heat up and start on fire if its too long.
You can get a power bar and screw it to the under side of the cupboard. good luck

I have a West Bend coffee urn, Catalogue #7210, with a GE power cord. I need a new cord. Where would I get one?

You should be able to find this kind of cord in any decent hardware store -- also try thrift stores if you want to save a few bucks. It is a very typical kind of ungrounded cord that has been used for small appliances probably since the 1920's.

Here's a link to a 6 foot one being sold on Amazon for around $8.00:
www.amazon.com/Cord-spacing-fits-percolators-cookers/dp/B000A8I7PC

Make sure that any cord you buy can handle the 1200w (rounded up from the 1190W that is specified on the bottom) that your stainless steel west bend 30 cup percolator uses. This means the cord must handle 10 amps at 120volts. I think that most of these cords should be able to handle the load -- but I would try to make sure.

If you have the manual for this machine, I would be interested in getting a digital copy of it.

The bulb on top of my Melitta Java perk Model #MEP-10 Percolator is broken and I would like to purchase another if I can.

Go to the hardware store and buy a porcelain or stainless steel cabinet knob that will fit over the hole in the percolator top. Discard the screw that comes with the knob and replace it with a shorter (maybe 3/8") stainless steel version (shorter because the top of the percolator is a lot thinner than a cabinet). Then, buy a couple of neoprene washers and a stainless steel fender washer. Prepare the percolator top by using a hammer and a small piece of wood or something to flatten out the metal around where the old percolator top used to fit. Now you can start putting things together--slip the fender washer over the screw, then one of the neoprene washers and put it through the hole in the percolator top from the inside. Then slip the other neoprene washer over the protruding screw and screw the cabinet knob down, sandwiching the whole assembly nice and tight. Finally, tape a dollar to the old plastic percolator top and throw it away so you can say you've thrown away something.

Need electric cord for percolator coffee pot

You can find replacement cords for many counter top
appliances at most appliance and building supply stores. Try Ace, Home Depot, Lowes. Take the coffee maker with you to make sure you are getting the correct cord.

I need an electrical percolator cord

Thank you for replying to my e-mail.

To answer your question of how I fixed it, well, I cut the cord at the plug and worked very hard to undo the little connectors and put the wires back inside them and added a drop of solder to each stem. Works fine now. I could not find an electrical cord ANYWHERE! Aren't electric percolators manufactured anymore? I could not find an electric percolator. Mrs. Rosemary Lawson
