Question about Oregon Scientific Garden

1 Answer

Iam confused about the rear PtO and the transmission as one calls for type A ****** fluid and the other 90 weight gear oil. Where does the gear oil go in the PTO or is that ****** fluid? and where is

A mechanic told me that the PTO took the gear oil. But it calls for 2 pints of 90 wieght and it barely registers on the dip stick? the ****** calls for 6 quarts of type A ****** fluid. I think that hes got it backwards and I dont want to chance harming the PTO or ******. which is it and where is the ****** and PTO located? Thank you!

SOURCE: john deere 2010 tractor. pto grinds and wont engage

The PTO usually has a clutch that has to be engaged so that you can select the PTO rotation setting. I had a problem like that on my tractor and all it needed was a little adjustment on the PTO clutch lever, so it could disengage the PTO gearbox properly.

Check and adjust your RIO switch{reverse implement option}near the trans if so equipped. What happens when you press forward pedal then engage blades?Would also check the lower bearing on your pto clutch to see if its seized up.

You likely need the speed sensor replaced in the rear of the tractor, either above or below the pto shaft. There is also a pto relay module beside the fuse panel that may need to be replace(only on the early 6000 series tractors, later it was replaced by the bcu).If you can get the codes from the bcu and relay the info to me i can likely tell you for sure what you need to do if none of the above works.

Engine oil for cold climates 5w-30. Warmer climates 10w-30. Any Auto-zone parts store person at the counter would be more than helpful choosing the correct fluids for your vehicle.

!992 nissan stanza standard trans fluid

If your referring to the manual transmission where you do the shifting. Your going to be using gear lube, not to be confused with transmission fluid. Which is red in color, they are not interchangeable transmission fluid is only for automatic transmissions. Gear lube is much heavier in weight, you want to get a gear lube 80-90 weight this lube is perferred for your vehicle
