Question about Washing Machines
Whats is the part called on the front of the waster that has the push buttons to control the water tem, speed and soil level. The plastic is cracking.

The ring is a clamp that keeps the rubber part, called the bellow, attached to the front panel of the washer. To reinstall hook the edge of the bellow around the lip of the opening in the front panel (the hole through which you put your laundry). Then take the clamp and seat it in the groove of the bellow behind the lip of the front panel. The spring on the clamp should pull the bellow tight to the opening of the panel.

All you can do is check the hot water control valve voltage when it should be calling for hot water and coil resistance OHM's
