Color Issue Have an older Hitachi Ultravision 50ux19k. Recently the tv began to have shadowing verticle lines. The picture is clear now, but only has color on few channels(this varies). It does have perfect color and clairty when using dvd player, we connect the rca plug in input1 or video1. We have checked the guns, they are glowing, the heaters are glowing also. We have checked board connections, but do not know which board is video, however did not see anything out of place. Any help is appreciated!

I don't know if this will help but i found this by doing a little research. Note: Picture Dark, abnormal, Changing Color Temperature Clean the Spark Gaps on each CRT PWB. Remove the Cap, clean the contacts with thin fine sand paper, blow out, reseal hope it helps.

I,m pretty shure the problem is the lamp, just replace it and it should correct the problem

If the set is working on the video inputs, then it has be be an issue with the input source or the tuner or tuner control circuit in the set. If it was a bad lamp or a spark gap problems you would see a problem no matter what you hooked up to the set.
