SOURCE: electric scooter problem

Yes, you will need to get a charger based on the number of 12 volt batteries in the Scooter. I recommend TNC SCOOTERS to buy the chargers. Very good service and lower than most prices.

SOURCE: ezip 150 electric scooter. won't start.

Hi, did you charge the batteries for at least 8 hours? Make sure that your charger has a RED Light When you plug it in, You should see Green light in 4-8 hours depending on the Batteries.
Secondly Your scooter batteries were dead when you got the Scooter, Judging from the fact you didn't get a Charger with it. I would recommend getting a voltmeter and checking the battery voltages. If the voltage is 11-12 volts, then you need new batteries. If this doesn't work check that fuse on the scooter it could be blown.

SOURCE: can i turn e200s electric scooter on at switch

No do not turn on the scooter while charging. When the scooter is on it is consuming power. So if you were to have the scooter on while charging, not only would it take longer for it to charge but it would cause problem for the battery. Because you want it to discharge while charging.

Hi, be sure you are using the right amperage fuse in it. Check any exposed wires on it they may have got skinned up, causing a short and blowing this fuse. You say it gets hot when she gives it full power, so its blowing when its drawing the most amps under this high load. Check all of the connections at the batterys to make sure all connections are good and tight, this is very important on any thing that is electric. Good Luck,

If the batteries are good, you have solved 80% of most scooter problems. You have described the following problem:

You have a flash code of 9, that is the status light flashes 9 times, then there is a pause, then flashes 9 times again and the scooter will not drive.

This means that you have an internal controller problem. The only solution to this problem is to replace the controller (computer module). The controller is located under a plastic cover under your feet when you are sitting in the scooter. Remove this plastic cover and remove the aluminum cover of the controller inspecting for burnt and melted wiring.

You should have the manufacturer run the serial number for this scooter to verify the correct component parts (Pride 800-800-8586). Pride can also verify if the parts are covered under warranty. Warranty repairs need to be done by a certified technician or a dealer.

The R series controller for this scooter runs $230 retail. All the associated wiring harnesses plugged into it (if melted or damaged) will run another $230. Labor is about 1 hour and you can do it yourself. Take off all the covers and plug the wiring harnesses in one at a time noting how they are run.

I have seen the wiring and plugs melted where they plug into the controller, so inspect this area carefully.

You can test the motor with a digital voltmeter. Unplug the motor and put your test leads across the red and black connectors . The resistance should be between .5 and 1.5 ohms for a good motor. Test the motor brake by reading the resistance across the 2 white connectors. It should read between 30-35 ohms across the brake. Hope this helps.

For the Victory XL 4 there is a Penny and Giles Egis 70 Amp controller. Looking from the back of the scooter the 4 vertical plugs on the left going from bottom to top are for the following:
bottom plug to charger
plug for lighting package with 7 connectors
plug to battery connector
top plug to motor
My count is 4 connectors unless we are talking about individual connections.
Are you talking about the accessory lighting plug and harness with several connectors to lights, turn signals, etc.
If you clarify your model and description I can send you the illustrated parts breakdown as a pdf.
There is a chance you have the wrong part if you did not order from the manufacturer by model and serial number. What is your part source?

How do you change battery on scooter x360

You probably have a 24 volt or 36 volt system. For each 12 volts, you will need 1 battery. Thus, you will need 2-3 batteries. The batteries are located between the footrest in the middle. Some have an access panel. If your model does not have that panel, then you have to remove the seat and plastic body, a very time consuming and annoying process. You may even have to remove the steering stem. Pull out the batteries, TAKE SEVERAL PICTURES of the wiring so you can put it back together exactly the same way. The wires have to be in series. If you screw this up, best case it won't charge properly, worst case you can overheat and damage the batteries, even causing them to explode and cause a fire in extreme cases. The old wires may be soldered on. Just snip them off and install new connectors that you can find at walmart, radio shack, or any automotive store. The manufacturer should have left a little extra wire to allow for this. If not, you may have to remove the solder with a soldering gun and reuse the existing connectors, or run new wire. You probably need 12V7AH, 12V8AH, 12V10AH, or 12V12AH SLA batteries(SLA means sealed lead acid, V means Volts, and AH means Amp Hour). It should be stamped on the side of the battery. 10AH and 12AH are the most common. They should cost about $25-$40 each depending on the supplier and size of the battery. The higher the AH, the more expensive the battery. Once you've changed the batteries, charge them completely before using it. FYI: Always fully recharge the batteries after you deplete them. Letting them sit discharged will drastically shorten their life or even ruin brand new batteries. Also recharge the batteries every couple of weeks, even if you aren't using the scooter. They gradually discharge when sitting. If you keep the batteries charged, you should expect about 1.5 - 2 years out of them for average use. Hope this helps.

I need a schematic for the x-treme scooter

Check the batteries, they need at least 12+volts to run scooter. Blinker may be burned out or the wire came loose. If batteries are charged Two things That could be wrong are: Twist throttle is NO Good, Or the controller is BAD. You need a voltage tester, (Disconnect the Wiring Harnesses) and check voltages coming out of the controller(the silver BOX with lots of wires) and see if it is sending voltage to the twist throttle. Controller wires to the Twist throttle should read 4-5 volts.

(Make Sure You Unplugged That Wiring Harness) There is 4-6 wires in that Wiring Harness then find + and - test them for voltage from that Controller box wiring harness. If You get a positive reading out of that Controller wiring harness then the Twist Throttle thing is bad. If you get NO READING out of that Controller Wiring Harness Then if is BAD. Normally it will be the dead batteries or the Twist Throttle that go bad. Batteries are expensive, Twist Throttle Cheap. Good LUCK
