SOURCE: spout for frothing milk pops out

You can get the user manual on this link if you need it; http://www.gaggiaparos.co.uk/ Check page 6 of the download, page 12 of the manual - the spout should just pull off and push back on. If it wont, then either something needs cleaning more, something is stuck in the tube or more likely the part of the nozzle that comes off, something is broken, or you need to use a little bit more force. If it appears broken, (check in particular for a fine crack that is only visible when the nozzle is stretched i.e. when in place. This type of plastic often will close a crack enough to be near invisible when not under tension.) then you could try gluing it although i doubt if this would work. You could just put a stainless steel hose clamp around it, tighten up just enough to make the nozzle spout stay on (bit of a pain, but may work). You can contact gaggia for a replacement - in the USA; Importika 596 Fishers Station Dr. 14564, Victor, NY Mr. Salzman Ph. 585.742.5178 Fax 585.924.1499 web site: www.importika.com e-mail: sales@importika.com Hope this helps - if you can post back a photo or two close up of the problem area, i may have more ideas :)

SOURCE: hot water doesn't have enough pressure to froth the milk

If you have no steam then it is possible that the steam booster boiler is damaged, or the thermostat tripped.

SOURCE: the steam wand is bubbling the milk, not frothing

THere is a little black tube inside - make sure its pushed out enough - about 1/16 an inch from the bottom. And you may have to clean it out. Happens to us too and after I do the above it works

SOURCE: the milk frother just boils the milk and does not

Hold the frother arm and pull the lower section off (It is in two pieces ) With the lower part off use a chopstick or something similar to push the small plastic nozzle out from the lower section, push from the narrow end .It will come out with a click, you will probably find it is blocked with dried ?congealed milk. Leave it to soak inhot water/wash up liquid and then use a nail brush to clean it also clean inside nozzle . Press nozzle back into sleeve untill it clicks into place and replace

Miele built in. Steam but no froth

Sounds like the venturi tube could be blocked. My model is a CVA 4085 and I can take the assembly out that sucks in the milk, mixes the air and stem and spits out frothed milk. If yours is similar, see if you can can reach the top of the milk outlet tube and rotate the ring around it anti-clockwise (if you were looking up from the bottom) and take the whole assembly out. If you have never taken this out, disassembled it and rinsed everything out thoroughly under a running tap now is a good time to do it. Then check the venturi tube: the clear (ish) bendy plastic tube that that points up and has a cone with a hole in the top. If that hole is blocked you won't get very good froth. If you can't clear it with warm running water then VERY CAREFULLY use a small needle to push through the hole at the top, then put everything back together.

Good luck.

Miele CVA 4066 stopped frothing milk

It sounds like the venturi tube is blocked. Have you ever removed the frothing unit and cleaned in manually? I have a model 4085 and I can reach under where the milk exit tube comes out, twist anti-clockwise (if you are looking up at it) and the whole assembly with the inlet and outlet tube comes out. These pieces can then be individually taken apart and rinsed thoroughly with warm water. If you put it back together (don't forget to twist the connector that locks it back in) and the milk still doesn't froth, take it out again and use a small needle to clear the top of the clear venturi tube which sucks air in to do the frothing. If it is really badly gunged up it might need to be replaced, but mine is 5 years old and still going with regular rinsing. My whole brew unit had to be replaced after 4 years at a cost of about GBP 200, but that's another story.

The milk frother is not sucking milk from the cup... it appears that the steamer is working as if it is steaming the milk. Any ideas on why the frother tube is not sucking any milk up?

it is clogged with dried milk. Remove the frothing wand from the machine. now press milk froth. you should get a ton of steam blowing out of the hole where the frother used to be. Your frother comes apart for cleaning. pull the chrome tip off, pull the 90 degree fitting and the black milk suction tube off, if it is really dirty you can soak the disassembled frother in hot water with a cleaning tablet. ( the small ones you drop in the brew unit, not the big descaling tab.) also, there is a clear tube with a point on the end of it sticking out of the frothing wand. this is an air admittance oriface. it allows air to enter the hot milk stream and make it frothy and bubbly. if it gets clogged, you will get hot milk but no froth. Your machine came with a spare one in the parts kit.

Why won't my starbucks serina froth milk. Just stopped doing this all of a sudden. I descaled, the little hole in wand isn't blocked. The milk heats but no froth.

This problem developed on my Sirena machine about a week ago. Stopped frothing milk, but still produced lots of steam. In fact, it was splattering milk everywhere, just not producing foam. Cleaned the steam wand (including air intake) and descaled the machine (even though its only 3 months old) to no avail. Called Saeco customer support (1-800-933-7876) and the very helpful rep immediately identified the problem. Inside the Panarello steam wand is a removable plastic tube. The tip of this tube should protrude about 1/8" beyond the end of the steam wand. Mine was not. Using the eraser end of a pencil, I pushed the inner tube downward into position and, voila, I now have froth again.

Cappucinatore won't pull milk through the tube

Hi
There should be a small pin on the top of the Cappuccinator. When it starts, twist the pin slowly until the milk flows up the tube. Then leave it where it is and it will work all the time.

I purchased a unit second hand for my wife's birthday today. It's only 4 months old, got it home, tested it, same problem... No froth!

I've read all the posts here and all were very helpful troubleshooting guides however they did not solve the issue.

Understanding how the frothing mechanism functions is half the battle in figuring out the solution. It's a simple vacuum type system. No doubt you've read about checking the orings. This is definately the first thing to check however if this is not the reason then consider the following.

The larger of the white tubes that has the red and black oring inserts deep into its port on the tap. Why? It pushes steam past the milk pipe directly into the chrome frothing tube which causes a vacuum essentially drawing milk up it's hose creating the froth. What you can't see without further investigation is that on the underside of the tube centered between the red and black orings is a small hole. This hole is responsible for drawing the milk upwards. If this is blocked, and it probably is then no milk and no froth. Use a really small screwdriver to carefully clean the white tube both from the front and the little hole underneath.

So in conclusion. Any air leak between the red and black orings will prevent the vacuum required to draw milk up the tube and alternatively any blockage of the milk channel will also obviously prevent the flow into the frothing mechanism. Hope this helps.

No froth

Make sure the small metal tube is clean as well as the holes in mounts into. The tube can be removed easily from the rubber ends and cleaned. I've had my unit for a year now and we use it ever day without this issue ever happening. I did have the constant beeping water leaking from the seat/valve problem which I fixed by opening up the unit and tightening the screws.
