Turbo 200? that must be a multi tap universal replacement capacitor, otherwise, your being teased, it would cause a high amp draw if not set/tuned to the appropriate MFd rating, you can actually tune a motor often by adding or subtracting a bit of MFD, we did this in school, often able to make the motor run a lower amp draw, or conversley make the amp draw rise if too low or high a MFD rating is used.Whats the amp draw on the unit during that minute? is it around the RLA?stated for the unit?Is the suction line (bigger one) cold or cool at all while the units running?is there any heat being rejected out the condenser? or just ambient in and out? What do the pressures read? what about superheat and subcooling ?these need to be known to do anything.

SOURCE: I have a split system with a goodman CPLJ30-1b

Cycle your breakers (turn fff and then on) Check that you are set to cool and not in the middle. You may have a service switch where you change the filter. That has to be on and finally check to make sure that the filter door is securly closed ( some units have a safty switch).

SOURCE: Goodman ck36 1b a/c. Capacitor

i installed a GTH 1348821 on a customers house 2008 It was installed incomplience with local codes and Goodman rrecommendations.I recieved a call stating the unit would not start I responded and found line voltage normal at 238 volts I checked my wire connections from contactor to capacitor to compressor all good shape. I ran a MFD check on capacitor and found a bad capacitor .I replace it and started and ran fine starting amps/RLA all within specifications. One month latter I had another capacitor failure, all operation specs look good. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: have a ck36-1b goodman ac

you need a 5/45 x 370 volt mfd capacitor. I just installed one in the same type of AC today. 5 mfd is for the fan moter and 45 mfd is for the compressor, the 370 is the voltage.

Goodman Furnace Model GMS90703BXA, replaced both pressure switches but still will not run. nothing happens but a few clicks. Flashes 3 times.

I believe that's a 90 percent furnace, and it's a bit complicated. I'd suggest having a service tech out to repair. Those pressure switches are connected to the IDM/induced draft motor. Is it running? That motor should be the first action in the heat sequence of operation. If it's not, then the motor or control board are at fault. I'm assuming it's not since all you hear is a few clicks. And the clicks are the micro-relays on the board working properly, so verify good connections at the wiring to the board and IDM. May give the IDM a little spin to see if it's free or seized. Drain lines to the secondary heat exchanger are a culprit for no fire situations, but normally a stopped up drain will not allow the gas valve to open, and not stop all actions. The problem is more than likely with the IDM. Work safe!

Hello there, I have a Goodman GMH951155DXAC furnace that I got in 2007. I have the following problem for the last 4 years: When the thermostat calls for heat the induced draft motor comes on and 30-40...

With furnace OFF ,Disconnect the top of the hose that leads to the
Bottom of Daft inducer Box, Now blow into it water will come out
of the drain hoses "condensation " this will shut the unit down if not drained. There must be a Trap on the side of the Furnace with water in it , to have positive presure to suck out condensation. This will fix problem. some installers forget to install this Trap that comes with Unit.....!!!! A little item
that will shut the whole system DOWN. :o)

My compressor tries to start but stop after 1 second

If there is a capacitor on the motor to kick start the motor in the correct direction, this could be at fault as the motor will just stall. Or the compresser could be seized up.

Won't srtart

Check at the gas valve to see if you are getting power to the terminals after you hear the click shortly before the ignitor stops. If no voltage ...replace the board.
Sequence is

induction fan on, if pressure switch is reading ok condition---->

Ignitor is powered for up to 20 seconds (depends on model) ----->

Gas valve is energized ----> if flame is present everything just works away, if no flame in 3 seconds sequence starts over for set number of tries or continuously (again depending on the model)

Hope this helps

if 23/27 volts is present at gas valve then replace valve but bad valve is not very common usually, its the board.

Goodman GMP075-3 ignition problem

OK, if the furnace is not lighting for even a few seconds, you have either a bad gas valve, bad wire, bad control module or no gas. The pressure switch is not the issue. Check all wires to the gas valve and look for 24 volts across them when the ignitor glows and you hear the click. Then test for 24 volts to ground. It could be a bad ground wire.
