How do I do the bypass on watching a dvd?

You have to take the parking brake wire and run it straight to the ground wire on the radio unit itself. Dont run it to the parking brake ground and you will be fine. You cant just ground it though, it has to be a live source ground.

unhook the wire that goes to the parking brake with the unit off. Turn it on and when it asks for that wire to be plugged in, hook it to a ground or the ground wire

Don't ground it. It's the amp remote wire. You're grounding 12V. Go here for the wire specs. Hopefully you haven't shorted anything in the unit. http://www.xovision.com/pdf/XO1915BT.pdf

Why a toggle switch, just go to ground. unless you want a way to switch it if you get pulled over.... by then it is too late... unless you hit a tree while watching a movie.... then you will be unconscious and unable to switch it... :-)

E- brake bypass

Thanks for everyone's help. The bcar screen actually is the backup camera screen which is activated by the orange wire and when I turned on the lights, it got activated. I disconnected the orange wire and everything is fine. When I get a backup camera I'll connect that wire to the backup lights so that it will come on whenever I put the car in reverse. You are right that their manual is not very clear at all. I called their tech support and they couldn't help me trouble shoot the problem either. The unit is functioning perfect now but my next beef is that you can't change the XO vison default screen when a cd is playing. It would have been nice if you can scroll some jpeg shots of anything else besides looking at the xovision logo. I guess I can't have it all for $340 so, I'll stop whinning.

I solved it By connecting the pink wire to a constant ground this acts as a bypass so the unit plays anytime.
