Question about Garmin StreetPilot c310 GPS Receiver
1. When i turn off the power to the cradle, the unit does not give the option stay on via battery..this has happened only in recent days
Not sure if this would have a bearing but...was away on hols and the unit was left in the car, temps did drop to 4°C at times but the unit was in the glove compartment...
2. Since this battery issue has been happening, the receiver is taking a lot longer to locate the satellites...
Would it make any performance difference to switch to WAAS / EGNOS instead of Normal (based in Ireland)..?
The lighter coloured facia part pops off if you gentley prize it off with a knife or small screwdriver. You can then see the screws that how the outer housing together. unscrew them to get to the battery. The battery has a aluminium cover over it with the batttery stuck to it with tape. Unscrew the top fixings of the cover and prize off the battery. I then cut the wires near the battery (one at a time) so i could solder the new battery in the circuit.
